Not yet *TEAR* I am still waiting but still hopeful. I was told by Kristin Mercado when I met with her a few months back that most waitlist offers will come after their 2nd seat deposit deadline which is June 15. *fingers crossed* If not, San Diego is not such a bad fate in my book.... 8)

I think I saw you got in off Davis waitlist, right, Onionskin? Whatchya gonna do!?

I ended up withdrawing and putting down at Hastings. It's just easier because I don't have to worry about rent, I have the support network and the bay is just a beautiful place to live.

I hope you get some good news soon.

Did anyone who withdrew from USD get any sort of confirmation or acknowledgement? I haven't heard from them at all not sure if they feel slighted.

Has anyone seen any movement from the waitlist? If not, anyone know when they might start?

I'm waitlisted at USD as well. The only info I have received from them is the email to remain on the waitlist :(

Update: Accepted to Davis today with better financial aid than what I was getting at USD......So I'll be withdrawing (with 10K per yr whoop) most likely on Monday. Hang in there you wait listed folk!!!! I know how hard it is, its been killing me for months....your time will come. 8)

Since I withdrew, and it looks like others are still withdrawing and putting money back in the pot, its worth mentioning to those of you still attending USD that Jorge Garcia is very responsive to scholarship appeals. At this point, I would bet if you sent a simple email saying you wondering if any more $ had become available for you, and that you were on the fence about attending still, he would reply and throw a few (probably 5) thousand at you just to keep you in the class. Just remember it never hurts to ask! The worse that happens is they say no. But by taking the chance, you could get yourself a few grand for a simple email...just sayin', could be totally worth it. Message me if you want details of my negotiations with USD. Good luck!
