Congrats, what are your numbers?
Guessing 3.43 and 165
haha no, actually 157, 3.87 with very strong softs. There's hope for everyone, I most definitely wasn't expecting admissions or a scholarship. Good Luck!
If true, congrats dude on some strong out performance, are you on cloud 9 right now?
Cloud 9 is an understatement. I will be attending in the fall and it's all very surreal to me.

Twiddling my thumbs on the priority waitlist. Wish I hadn't been sent an email telling me I was going to be contacted soon if that wasn't the truth.

Nope, I'm commited to Brooklyn already and excited about it. But Emory's acceptance would be a fun twist in the law school application process saga.

Assuming this is true, why would you post it on here? You know perfectly well that there are plenty of people who are dying to get in and actually go to Emory.shredmeister wrote:Nope, I'm commited to Brooklyn already and excited about it. I have to agree. If you want to hold up a slot just to see if you could get in, that's your choice. However, posting about it on TLS is a douchebag move.nba101790 wrote:Assuming this is true, why would you post it on here? (Also, don't forget that Emory's Dean of Admission actively looks at this site. Pretty stupid to post it as well).ookoshi wrote:I have to agree. lol he hasn't even been admitted yet. And even if he is, he only gets 48 hours to decide anyway, so it's not like he can sit on it indefinitelynba101790 wrote:(Also, don't forget that Emory's Dean of Admission actively looks at this site. Re: Emory class of 2016 (2012-2013 cycle)
I don't think their post implied that they wouldn't attend Emory-- I read it that Emory is the school that, if accepted, would give them a hard decision (the saga). I'm sure many Emory waitlisters have deposited elsewhere and are at least pretty excited about that option...ookoshi wrote:I have to agree. Just withdrew with 90K. I honestly thought I was going to be at Emory this fall, but things can change quickly this late in the cycle! Best of luck to all of you!

I'm dying to find out. If I get in with scholarship money I will be attending. I'm ready to put an end to this cycle and start making plans for where I'll be attending.

Re: Emory class of 2016 (2012-2013 cycle)
Offered admission today from the priority waitlist with a significant scholarship!
For those still fixating as I was: I attended Visiting Day, which put Emory squarely at the top of my list among peer schools, received a quick thanks-for-your-patience email late last week, and my numbers are a less-than-stunning 165/2.3 (though I'm about one hundred years old, have extensive work experience, and went to a strong undergrad; I'm certain some combination of could have given me a slight boost).
To those waiting still, I wouldn't stress or read into things too much. I think it's far too early in the week, let alone the whole cycle, to start giving up hope. I'd imagine that Dean Rosenzweig and the office were conservative about putting people on the priority waitlist and we've already seen yesterday that they're already strongly considering people on the secondary waitlist as well. If you look at last years thread, people were accepted into mid-August. I'd imagine that no matter how many of us have been admitted, they'll keep rolling out offers as others pass on the seat (though I myself will be depositing).
Best of luck and congrats to those above who were accepted earlier this week!

Congrats to all off the WL.
I'm on the regular WL, the wait is driving me mad and its only the first week. Can't stop checking my email, phone, these sites, its sucks.
Emory's my first choice, going to be devastated if I don't get in.

Also, all Emory numbers are 404-727-XXXX, so keep that in my mind for all WLers!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
