Dunno, but I'm sure they'll announce other options soon.

How did others' interviews go?
Also: did anyone send a followup email, or anything of that sort? I don't want to barrage them with extraneous stuff considering I'm sure they're busy, but it might be polite / keep my interview fresh in their minds, too. Thoughts?

My interview went as well as it possibly could've gone. I was very confident by the end of it. I did not send any follow ups, and I am pretty sure that the decisions have most likely already been made.Greyhound42 wrote:How did others' interviews go?

We have almost the same dates. I really wish I knew how many updates I should expect before a decision.

Looks like people have been getting decisions about a month after they submit, 2-3 updates. That's according to a combination of people on here and LSN. In a perfect world the updating would be standardized between schools.Sadieche2464 wrote:lablankita wrote:Applied- 1/17

Did anyone receive an invite to a webcast tomorrow on environmental law practice? Maryland is one of my top choices because of the environmental law program and I made it clear in my ps that this is the area of law I intend to focus on. I am still waiting on a decision (app submitted 12/21) but do you guys think they would invite me if they were not going to accept me?

I was admitted and did not receive that e-mail. Maybe that's a good sign?arch9216 wrote:Did anyone receive an invite to a webcast tomorrow on environmental law practice? On another note, has anyone had any luck using an offer from another school to negotiate scholly money with MD?

Md is known to be very stingy but I saw people on lsn with average numbers with 5-10k . Don't know if it's by year or total but money is still money I guess hahslawww wrote:I was admitted and did not receive that e-mail. This isn't a definitive answer: But for your consideration, during my interview they were very blunt about wanting to know what other schools I was considering and what kind of $$ those schools offered me. I'm not saying that this is indicative of a general policy or that they plan on matching those numbers, but take it as you will. Hope that helps!slawww wrote:I was admitted and did not receive that e-mail. Maybe that's a good sign?arch9216 wrote:Did anyone receive an invite to a webcast tomorrow on environmental law practice? In via e-mail. They definitely kept me guessing. 165/3.27 non-urm, submitted 9/25.

Has anyone else had problems with the admissions office? I have spoke with a lady named Lois, and she is a total !$%* (insert whatever expletive you wish). Her behavior has really pushed the school down on my personal rankings. Has anyone else experienced anything? Also, I have been accepted and I have begun each of my three conversations conveying as much.

Re: University of Maryland c/o 2016
Similarly, the first question I was asked during the interview is which other schools I was considering and how much they had offered me, so I was honest and gave specific numbers. At the end of the interview, they asked me again (in two different ways) how serious I was about accepting UMd's offer and then they told me directly that they would pass all my info. along to the scholarship committee, but that -- as a state school -- it was unlikely that they would be able to match the full ride that I've been offered at UC Irvine.Greyhound42 wrote: This isn't a definitive answer: But for your consideration, during my interview they were very blunt about wanting to know what other schools I was considering and what kind of $$ those schools offered me. That said, I haven't heard anything from Maryland yet re: scholarships, so I'm not sure how things will shake out. I'll update this when I find out how close they come to matching my other offers.
