Hey all, new poster here. Sent my app on 11/18.
For all those who were accepted today, did everyone still have either a GPA or LSAT score above UGA's median? Not expecting a decision any time soon but looking for a glimmer of hope.

And congrats to everyone who got in today! Was in Athens this weekend to see Louis C.K., definitely a cool town.

I just got super faked out. Knowing that a bunch of people got in today, I checked my inbox and see a UGA address, and it's that stupid "check the status of your application" generic email that a bunch of people got a few weeks ago. Wah wahhhh.

Does anyone know if Georgia gives need-based aid? Their website makes me hopeful that they do.
Also, pics!!: http://www.law.uga.edu/photos/renovatio ... index.html
and I was snooping through last years thread. It seems like scholarships came with initial acceptance letters... but no one has gotten one thus far?

I did this too and thought the same thing... wonder when we can expect to see scholarship info?BlueJeanBaby wrote:and I was snooping through last years thread. It seems like scholarships came with initial acceptance letters... but no one has gotten one thus far?
Also, thanks for the link to pics! Anyone else have UGA as their #1 choice?

I have heard that sometimes UGA will allow OOS students to pay in-state tuition their first year as a type of scholarship offer. I got accepted with a 3.44 and 164 stats so i'm sensing my odds would not be good but im wondering if attempting to use slightly lower ranked schools scholarships offers as leverage to get the in state scholly with UGA. Anyone have any info or thoughts on this.
Thanks in advance,

I'd wait to figure out if they've even released scholarship info. I think some people around your #s got the instate equalizer for at least one semester. They might just be holding off on making scholarship offers until later in the cycle. Someone should call and find out Did you get your snail mail yet?lawhopeful10 wrote:I have heard that sometimes UGA will allow OOS students to pay in-state tuition their first year as a type of scholarship offer. No one has reported scholarship offers on lawschoolnumbers yet, so I have hope that they haven't sent any (or very few) so far.princessofpower wrote:I did this too and thought the same thing... wonder when we can expect to see scholarship info?BlueJeanBaby wrote:and I was snooping through last years thread. I got an email for admitted students (but I wasn't sure if it was a mistake or if I had actually been admitted) first.bgoodrick wrote:did anyone get in just via status checker? or does everyone get an email? trying to figure out whether to obsessively status check or just wait for an email

I just love that you hunted down your mail lady.2012Lsatscore wrote:
FWIW, I just hunted down the mail lady and got no envelope (AL). I was a Tuesday admit. I am also really hoping for the equalizer scholly as well. I was also surprised to see that in past threads the offers came with the envelope.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
