Missed breakfast cause I had some items of business I couldn't avoid that morning. Roar beef sandwich = awesome. I liked the mock lecture and the student panel the most. New building looks sweet, but is it worth 2 years of unorganized construction hell for a cool 3L? Don't know. I overall thought the day went very well. Everyone was kind and could answer the questions I had. If I end up going to Utah, I'll need to get better at ping pong apparently. Also, I'm mildly upset there were no tshirts. I totally would rock a "Utah law" shirt, haha.

I was also at the admitted students day, good food! The new building looks amazing, too bad we would only get to be in it for the first year. I agree though, the current building wasn't quite as bad as I expected. Dean Aguilar was really nice and helpful in getting an appointment for me with one of the professors in my area, and I also really enjoyed the mock law class. Too bad Amy is probably nearly impossible to get a class with, because I would definitely stay awake with her teaching! Overall, U of U is a much better school than I was expecting. I think I'm still leaning toward U of Arizona simply because I don't anticipate settling in Utah, but this weekend made it a bit harder to choose!

Easily the top moment of ASD.

Oh well; with a full ride to a state school and a half scholly to BYU, there was literally no amount of money they could've offered me to get me to go. I only wanted them for scholarship leverage. Good luck to everyone else.

No rhyme or reason to pretty much any of it.

also what does YP mean?

yield protection. it means that rankings systems (and by extension law schools) like those who are accepted to matriculate. if a school has some reason to believe that a student would not matriculate, they may ding/wl them in order to protect the percentage of accepted students who join the class.

To accept the scholarship, or to accept an offer at a higher ranked school that's more expensive and where i want to work. THAT IS THE QUESTION.

Really??? I'm the only one? I don't believe that. Misery loves company ... right? Any other wait-list brother or sisters? For me, it's U of U or bust. As a father to a beautiful daughter I cant move from SLC and my destiny as a potential attorney rests with the decision of the admissions committee at S.J. Quinney.

I met a girl the other day who was selected off of the waitlist, so there's definitely hope. I don't know much more, and I don't know anyone currently waitlisted.
