Anyone else get the huge binder from the school? Unfortunately mine had a broken ring lol - but I have never seen anything like this from any school before. Wish it had info on scholarships but alas the waiting game continues.

Nothing besides my skinny letter and a nice phone call from Reyes. We discussed scholarship options. He mentioned that nothing has been done for scholarships yet. Basically, your application gets sent to a scholarship committee, and they make offers in a big first round. Some people accept, some don't. So they review the files again for round two of awards with what's left. It can go into a third round if money is available. Sounds like a nice and fair process in my opinion. I hope I can grab a bit of the pie myself, as I've gotten nice offers from other schools. I do really appreciate the application process and all the help I've received starting back in June from admissions though. They're a ton more helpful than any other school I've done this with.

Yeah- They have been excellent. Reyes left a personalized note on the letter I received. I mean, this binder literally will answer any and all questions you have lol. It is unbelievable. I really am considering Utah strongly - but a nice scholarship will definitely help stray me towards their direction being out of state.

Oh, a little tidbit I gathered from the binder. You guys should fill out the "UForm" online when you can (took me literally 30 seconds). You need to do this to be considered for financial aid. There is a note on it on like page 60something in the binder lol. You'll get your Utah ID in the binder and then you can do it (or you can use your SSN actually).

I believe so, but I'll double check when I get home--I just skimmed it last night.

Cool, thanks. After getting dinged at my ridiculous shot in the dark at Berkeley, and getting WL'd at UW, it's just looking like I might end up at the U.

I just got the phone call today too! I'm in! I'm just not sure yet though...gotta wait to hear from other law schools. I'd love to live in Salt Lake again, but...idk. The old facilities are not really awesome, and spending 2 of 3 years in them is kinda sucky.

Got a phone call (went to voice mail) on Friday stating that I have been admitted! My letter came in on Saturday...To those of you who received a binder...how long did it take after you received your one page acceptance letter? Thank god they call when they admit you because the one page acceptance letter almost makes you think you got wait listed or rejected at first lol

X2 – From first glance that is almost surely a waitlist/denial!

Do they always call when a person is accepted or sometimes its only the letter? Does the status checker say something like decision rendered etc?

I received the phone call last week, and still show “in review” on my status checker.
