at first i thought you said this because you wanted to be able to party at spring break, and i was like yea! power to ya!

then i came to the sad realization it's because we would have to go through another grueling week without a decision. i hope for us too.

Application on Hold.

Apparently this is not the waitlist.. it is in between accepted and waitlisted..

"Holding" for further review.

Anyone willing to shed some light on this Hold category for me?

I've been on hold for about 2 months. Not much I could tell you, but I guess be ready to wait a while. My LSAT is above median, GPA below 25th. I'd assume most Hold applicants are deficient in one aspect of their #'s.

... it says all decisions will be made by may 31st, think we will be waiting that long?

Mine is still "Under Review." No update yesterday, hopefully I will hear something soon. I know that UF Law admissions did not have off during their spring break, maybe the same will be true for FSU. If FSU does have off, no worries, I'm on spring break and can keep my mind off of things for a week lol. Good luck to everyone, I will keep you updated.

Hi everyone! I applied to FSU in the end of December. There were complications with my application (which turned out to be a simple misunderstanding on their part and was completely not my fault) so I wasn't complete until end of January. I called and requested that my complete date be pushed up to December because that's technically when I was complete, and they told me just to sit tight and the decision would probably be coming by the end of the month. I'm trying to avoid committing to another school, but I don't want to miss their deadline and be rejected from FSU. Any advice? Should I call again and be more persistent? My numbers are hardly competitive (159/3.4). Has anyone with similar numbers heard any news? I figured that the date isn't as important as my numbers and they just haven't gotten down to the 159's yet. Anyone in the same boat? Let me know! Thanks

If FSU is at the top of your list wait as long as you can. If your second choice has a seat deposit due before you hear, then pay it. If you loose a seat deposit it sucks, but it's not the end of the world. If you look at it like this you will be fine... I'm spending 80-150k (random minimum numbers) on my education, who cares if I loose $200 getting where I really want to be. In the end from what I gather law school is all about where you are happy. UF and FSU are my top choices and I'd loose my Mercer seat deposit with no question to attend either one. The 1L that gave me a tour at UF was notified like 3 weeks before class started and lost two seat deposits to be where they really wanted to be. They said it was worth it and they would do it again.

in today via phone call. 158 3.65... pretty shocked just a out of the blue send on my part. Makes my decision a little more interesting.

I was complete for a month or two before I went under review. Usually you are not under review for more than a few days, though I have been under review for over a week. Hopefully I will hear something soon.

Just got updated! Decision made, will receive by mail. I think they reject by email, so hopefully it's an acceptance!

I'm a bit nervous since it appears that most admits recieved a phone call. That being said, there were a few admits on here that said they found out by mail. Still the acceptance trend seems to include a phone call. Oh well, we will see sometime next week.

Hey guys, I was just accepted about 2-3 weeks after going complete, and I had a view questions.

1) When do they usually send scholarship information in relation to when you receive your acceptance?

2) Do they offer travel stipends?

any acceptees know when the seat deposit is due? I'm hoping to be accepted "round two" as soon as some acceptees have declined their seat. Thanks!

April 15th.

Also to the previous poster, they do offer travel stipend. They emailed us on Thursday about replying to express your interest. If anyone else applied and received PM me.

I'll be at the Admitted Students Day on April 5th flying out from San Diego

Congratulations to all those who have been accepted thus far! And to those who are still waiting -- keep holding on! FSU is definitely worth the wait :)

I'm currently a 2L here, and I am very happy with my ultimate choice. I have a questions thread open in another area of the forum:

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=206632

but I can also answer any questions you have here!

as I wrote earlier, my status haven't been changed for ages(1/10/13, what is your opinion, is it a good idea to write and ask, is it everything ok with my application, and having this opportunity to write, how much I love FSU?

im an undergrad here at FSU, so if you guys have any questions, feel free to ask. Ill tell you that if you are coming, then youre coming to Tallahassee at a good time due to all the new construction and improvements. The city is going to be muchhhh nicer. Too bad I'm out of here after this semester....
