This is a game changer. I was all set to make my top three UA, UGA, UF, but now I definitely need to spend some time visiting before I make a decision.

Congrats, numbers? If you don't mind of course.

I got the same offer! UGA is my top choice with UF in second but this is a bit of a game changer. I'm waiting to see if UGA or UF offers me anything after the new year. The no GPA stipulation is pretty awesome too.

Has anyone gotten a scholarship offer that didn't get an email with a scholarship link or didn't receive one with their initial acceptance?

I didn't know FSU even gave out no-stip scholarships. That is pretty awesome.

Any movement for anyone since the holidays? Hopefully things will start moving quickly now that the Dec. LSAT scores are out.

Hi all,

Having a bit of a tough time here - recieved my december LSAT score (160), very dissapointing, was PTing between 165-169 - Non-traditional applicant (age 29, 5 years work experience) with a 3.48 GPA (Civil Engineering). Life and job demands that I apply for the 2013 cycle - Florida State or bust - would any of you advise that I go ahead and apply with these numbers, or should I retake in Feb? I'd like a scholarship, but wasn't depending on it, and certainly wont get anything with those numbers. LSAC numbers give me between a 37%-74% chance of acceptance, which is a laughably large margin. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

That's excellent advice - much appreciated. I'll go ahead and submit and hopefully it'll be under review before the registration deadline. What kills me more than anything is having to live with knowing I could have done much better. But in the end, acceptance will be enough. So these numbers don't make me a longshot then?

i received an initial acceptance around December 10. Do I need to do anything to be considered for scholarships or will they just send an offer if they desire? My numbers are better than other people who posted they got scholly money and I didn't hear anything :(

I got the acceptance call on Dec. 6th and a scholarship application email on the 21st (last day before they left for break). I would think that you should get that email sometime next week when classes resume.

I'm not sure how realistic your responses have been thus far, but I hope for the best for you. Honestly, since you're applying later in the cycle it depends on far more variable that we can't really account for. We don't know how FSU's apps have been so far, you're certainly borderline but it's definitely worth a shot.

Not sure how you came to the conclusion that he/she is borderline. Pgiboney is right at FSU's medians, which are 160/3.5

Pretty sure their median is 162, 25th percentile is 160, and floor is basically 159. At 160/3.5 he's more like median/25th which is pretty borderline.

Straight from website:
2012 Class Profile
Median LSAT 160
Median GPA 3.53

If that's all credited info then I'd definitely be wrong. Median at GPA and LSAT should get ya there.

Appreciate the honest reponses gentleman. Truthfully, the discrepency in Florida State's reported median LSAT scores are what brought me here in the first place - I see it reported on some credible sites as 162, and others as 160. Looking at LSN history, it seems 160 is pretty close to the cutoff, but most 160s get in. In any case, what's done is done, gonna apply and hope for the best. Im banking on my being a college athlete, an engineering degree, and my work experience, to put me over the top, even though I know those are much less significant factors than GPA and LSAT score.
