Most 160s do get in I just wouldn't want you to think you're a lock. Who knows how much FSU's improved employment #s over UFs will determine how their cycles go. My guess is that most applicants wouldn't do enough research to find out this information and UF's in-state prestige would still hold over FSU, but you never know. Also, # of LSAT takers is down so that plays in your favor. Basically, I'm rescinding my earlier skepticism, I think the TLS pessimism is contagious. You have a pretty solid shot, especially if the median is actually around 160.pgiboney wrote:Appreciate the honest reponses gentleman. Truthfully, the discrepency in Florida State's reported median LSAT scores are what brought me here in the first place - I see it reported on some credible sites as 162, and others as 160. Looking at LSN history, it seems 160 is pretty close to the cutoff, but most 160s get in. In any case, what's done is done, gonna apply and hope for the best. Im banking on my being a college athlete, an engineering degree, and my work experience, to put me over the top, even though I know those are much less significant factors than GPA and LSAT score.

P.s. How long did it take you guys to go from under review until you got your decision.

I applied two years ago with a 3.26 and a 160 and got the wait list. Not sure what happened after that since I made the decision to defer law school and boost my numbers. If I don't get in with a 167 I'm going to bring the wrath of Sherman to Tallahassee.

I've been "Under Review" as of 1/4/2012. I submitted 1/3/2012 so it was surprising how quick the turnaround was.slawww wrote:You're definitely an admit. Wow, that is quick! I was complete for over 3 months until today. Hopefully we get our decisions by the end of the week, really hoping for that phone call tomorrow. I was reading through this thread and it seems like a lot of people went from under to review to receiving a decision within a matter of days.hobie2515 wrote: I submitted 1/3/2012 so it was surprising how quick the turnaround was.

To those who have already been admitted:
Did your status change from under review to decision made before you got the phone call? Or did the status change afterwards? Thanks!

Thanks guys!
How long did it take from your status going under review to receiving the phone call?
Sorry for the neuroticism, but I had been complete for 3+ months prior to yesterday.

Freaked me out at first, since acceptances are done via phone call and not e-mail.nmlf16 wrote:Yes.slawww wrote:Still under review.

Seems to me that FSU release their acceptances in batches every month generally on Thursday’s or Friday's (one was 10/19, another was 11/15 and the last one 12/6). Hopefully that means the next one is coming soon!

Hahaha, I'm really banking on FSU and/or UF as a Florida resident. My cycle has also become dead silent for the past month and a half. Oddly enough, I've beed admitted to higher ranked schools long before my FSU app even went under review. 162 LSAT, below median GPA & URM.2012Lsatscore wrote:slawww, what are your numbers (if you don't mind)? I think I am now officially more interest in whether you get into FSU than the outcome of the rest of my cycle. This is probably do to the fact that it has come to a screeching halt, but anyway...

I just got my call too! No scholarship though (not too surprised by that). Was complete for just under 2 months, then went under review on 1/4.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
