Does it bode poorly for my chances that they denied my request for a merit fee waiver with my 168/3.06? GPA simply too low? :(

You don't have a great shot at admission, but I wouldn't put too much value on the denial for a waiver. They may only have so many more waivers left that they want to give, or they could have some policy like "save waivers for 170+." Bottom line, you don't know what the policy in the office is, so try not to let this one hit you too hard.

I was denied a waiver with a 164/3.89 and a prior MA from GWU. My sense from the response I received was that the school is going to be more sparing with waivers this season.

Yup. I was denied one with a 174/3.54.

So someone posted the new gpa median in another thread -- 3.6 (-.22) LSAT median is the same, 167, class size dropped quite a lot, from ~475 to ~400

Does anyone know if GW waits until the ED deadline to send out ED admits??

Havn't submitted any to anywhere. All my attempts at writing them sounded contrived and bad.

Yeah, I have written a number of optional essays... none of which have been good.

I am currently a GW student, so I'm orienting my optional essay around the idea that selecting an alum is advantageous. GW doesn't have a "Why us?" but I feel that if I word it the right way, it can work.

App is officially in. 3.1/169 so it's somewhat of a reach, but I guess we'll see. Good luck everyone

You're not looking too bad, actually. Especially in this cycle.

That's a mighty small sample size.

Yepp. I remain skeptical. Hopefully W/E will help, but C&F issues won't. So it remains a reach.

On a side note, are GWU LST employment numbers as good as they seem? I'm not 100% clear on how LST compiles those numbers.

No. Subtract 15% from that score for the school-funded positions. 65% still isn't terrible for ITE, though.

I also have doubt about GW number on LST, seems too good to be true. But I heard IP people in GW are as competitive as GULC at least in DC market.

Oh, hello, numbers twin. Do you have an LSN account?

Also, it looks like we're probably not a lock, but we have a pretty decent shot.

Did anyone ED here? Am looking for what the averages, esp. LSAT, are for those that are accepted through ED.

TSL has ED medians at 3.83 and 169 (http://www.top-law-schools.com/george-w ... chool.html).
They're from 2009 though. Wonder if anyone out there has more recent numbers???

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
