Just got a suitable scholarship from my 1st choice, so I'll be withdrawing. A spot and 100K back into the pool, hope it goes to one of you!

On the WL as well. It's frustrating b/c there is no other school I'd rather attend. Except I already paid a hefty seat deposit to my 4th choice and now I have to pay a security deposit for the apartment in a few days too.

Interested in this as well as I haven't gotten it as of now (although I did have a delay in getting their earlier emails before). I project there will be semi big movement this week (hopefully..)

They have a handful of seats and are interested in offering me (and whoever else got the email) a spot and gauging interest, they MIGHT still have scholarships. The line that caught my eye was saying "I hope my next e-mail to you will begin with the word, “Congratulations!”"

Yup. I got that one just now. Sigh.
I don't think you see more on how LS admissions is a numbers game than on the WL.

Right? Such a numbers game. I didn't even get an email though... so it can always be worse....

it sounds like there was another different email that went out to other waitlisters that wasn't as optimistic.

From my understanding there were two: a super joyful one that was basically 85% a seat offer off the WL and anther one that was more cautious but still somewhat optemistic. The first one asked for a reply, the second one didn't.

It refers to FT or PT. I got the same email.

Hey guys, I got one of those emails where they accept you over WL (kinda implied)

Anyway, I dont know how much, if any, scholarship Im getting yet, but Im already admitted at Emory with 72k scholly. Plus, Atlanta is kind of my home so there's that tiny benefit there. I only really care about biglaw % though. What amount of scholly from GW do you guys think is enough for me to turn away from Emory with 72k?

for those who got the good email - has anyone received a follow up yet with an official offer? i've seen a few recent WL->Admits on LSN and was curious if they are turning around that quickly.

Have not heard anything more since I got the "good one." I am sure they need to powwow in committee and whatnot....

So apparently GW sent two different emails yesterday. I didn't get the "good" email which sounded promising. I got the usual "thank you for your continued patience, we will send another update..." So it seems a group of WL applicants are on some sort of priority list, while the rest, although still possible, will unlikely get an offer.

Make sure to check your junk mail box... several of my GW eails have gone there including my acceptance letter
