I absolutely cackled at this, because yeah...
Look I can't complain, because I got in after about a week, but it's kind of silly that there are people with better numbers than me on here who have been waiting for months.

Anyone know if W&M offers travel stipends for ASD?

I was wondering the same thing, but I didn't see any sort of mention about it in the admitted students packet. My guess would be that it'd be advertised in their acceptance packet if that was an option.

Granted, I am really surprised they don't, because they seem to be very liberal with scholarship amounts and the likes. So why not add a couple hundred to get students out there?

Thanks. Considering asking the admissions office. I'll let you know if I do, and what they say.

Thanks so much- it's one of my top choices! I didn't get any scholarship info in the email, just the: "Dear Ms. :

Congratulations! You have been admitted to William & Mary Law School for the term beginning in August, 2013. We are excited with our decision to admit you and hope that you share our excitement and choose to enroll at the nation’s oldest law school.

Information has been sent to you. Please feel free to view the Admitted Student Website - visit.
.."

It says that my letter was mailed 2/7, but I probably won't get it until early next week because of the winter storm. I'm hoping that includes some scholarship money, but I'm definitely not expecting it! W&M, Wake, BC and BU are my top choices-- have had zero movement on BC or BU, though. I'll be heading to the admitted students day on March 22/23rd to see W&M!

Why the doubt? Everyone here I guess is on the honor system but this call out seems a little weird...

Got a 23k a year total offer in the mail today. Very generous considering I'm not over their medians by much. I wouldn't have even made the trip down to W&M without it; now I'll definitely at least give it a serious look. If nothing else, it's a very, very useful negotiating chip.

In today via status checker. Had been stuck at complete/under review since 11/6. Just had a visit to the school yesterday, which included a sit-down with one of the assistant deans for admissions. Lesson: If you're stuck in purgatory and can make it there for a visit, you may help your cause.

Thanks. I've had a surprisingly strong cycle given my numbers. I do have a few years of work experience and a GPA addendum, which hasn't hurt. I've got a lot of good options to consider.

For those who are stuck "in review," is it a bad idea to send in an email or letter expressing your interest? Or is that just a bad idea? I would love to be able to visit, but being in Alabama that just doesn't seem realistic right now.

Solid scholarship offer arrived today with the admissions packet. That'll probably be enough for me to check out ASW; it definitely jumped up my list today!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
