I'm worried because my GPA is SO low. I'm hoping my strong PS saves me.
Still no movement on my status since 3/13

went CR1 on 3/12 then CR2 on 3/13. Then when I checked on 3/14 the status got reversed to CR1 3/12. I know I'm not going crazy, but has anyone seen this before? Maybe user error on their part?

Not sure if there is one or not. I've been CR2 since 2/27. Hoping that this week might be my week!

I'd be surprised if you both are outright rejected. Above/at the LSAT median will probably mean WL or Accepted. For me, since I'm below both, it's either rejection or acceptance (by an act of god). There's absolutely no reason why they'd put a below median applicant on waitlist.

Starting to think I should just check USC at 9pmEST along with davis..checked probably 20 times today haha

CR 1 1/23, Final review 3/18. No CR 2 or CR 3.

Definitely a rejection?....

What are your numbers? CR 2 is not neccesary, some people never get it, and the school states it has no impact on your decision one way or the other.

On a side note, any current students want to create an ask a law students thread for those of us with questions? Or would they be willing to answer questions in here?

A random stranger on the Internet saying that I have a chance at USC has actually made me extremely happy. I'd upvote you if I could!

Well I mean USC is pretty predictable this cycle when it comes to LSATs. I'm just being realistic, but I guess I'll take being nice haha.

When Cornell moves faster than USC you know we've got a problem on our hands...

I was actually waitlisted at three schools where I was below both medians. It's much more likely you are waitlisted/rejected than accepted.

Ok, well then I guess there's no reason why they would take me off the waitlist then. Id be fine with that though, since its pretty much loyola or usc at this point and theyre in the same vicinity so no living arrangement changes to worry about.

Fwiw very few people are in the admissions office today, although they're still up and running a good amount of the staff and deans are out of state.

Going off this. Why do schools waitlist when you are clearly below both medians? What do they get out of having to deal with your for sometimes as much as 6-7 more months when they know you aren't above either number and you are not a URM?

Medians could drop which they wouldn't have a good idea of until after deposit deadlines, below both medians applicant paying sticker could balance out a big scholly to an above both medians applicant, maybe they just liked you as a person...

If the last thing you said is true then more schools need to adopt the "If you love someone then you've got to let them go" approach.

I think schools waitlist people they will never actually accept for the same reason that applicants apply to "safety" schools that they will never actually attend. It's comforting to have a safety net if things don't work out the way you want them to even if all logic dictates that it will.

Unfortunately this makes complete sense from a neutral prospective.

I was really hoping that it meant I AM the special snowflake.

Interesting perspective. It makes sense, however disheartening it may be.
