I dont think by much (if they would at all) but it's worth a shot. Worst they say is no.

I think you could pull a little. It would probably be more effective to try to get a little more out of Duke, then go back to USC.slack_academic wrote:75k from USC vs. 54k from Duke.helix23 wrote:how significant?slack_academic wrote:You guys think USC would up my offer based on a significantly lower offer from Duke?

Pose it as unaffordable without more. Doesn't hurt to try. Profess your love for the school, how badly you want to be there, but then say you can't without more money. It worked for me but mine was genuine and I leveraged the fact that I'll be moving my fiancée across the country.slack_academic wrote: That's also what I figured. Unfortunately I don't have much leverage to do so.

I'm assuming I'm not in a good position if I'm still complete after submitting it late last month.

I'm complete 1/7 with no CR1. But I'm probably not a good gauge because I don't have much of a shot. Hopeful though!boblawlob wrote:I'm assuming I'm not in a good position if I'm still complete after submitting it late last month.

Yeah...not sure if it means anything really. I don't think I have much of a shot either (25% LSAT) and I'm at 2nd read right now. Unfortunately, I'm expecting a WL at bestteiswei wrote:I'm complete 1/7 with no CR1. But I'm probably not a good gauge because I don't have much of a shot. I hope so...I was rejected from UT so I don't think that bodes well! I'll keep hoping though! An acceptance to USC would be pretty sweet!! Best of luck to you as wellJonathk1 wrote:25%lsat & above 75%gpa from top public school? You never know.md22 wrote:Yeah...not sure if it means anything really. I'm a 3.85/172, currently on 2CR. I am getting pretty certain about wanting to stay in Cali; I'm in at Berk but would consider SC if $$$ came my way. Is USC receptive to LOCIs? Would it be helpful at all? I really don't want to get YP here.

I don't think 'SC does a lot of YP-ing. It wouldn't hurt to send one though.Omnivalc wrote:I'm a 3.85/172, currently on 2CR. Definitely send one, Omni.
The fact that you applied in Dec means that you are essentially on hold. ('SC has already admitted quite a few Jan apps.)

If it helps anything, I did the video interview and still got nothing. And it took me like two hours just to film correctly.twinkletoes16 wrote:now i regret not doing that stupid video essay for the rothman. ah well. all's well that end's well, as my favorite incorrect LSAT answer choice once said.

I'm fairly certain they all went out today. Selected yesterday, calls today. The other 3 must be non-TLSers/guests creeping

you should get 120,000 with those stats. you should have applied for the rothman, you would have been a real contender.Omnivalc wrote:I'm a 3.85/172, currently on 2CR. There's supposed to be 4-5 finalists flown out to LA for interviews, and then one gets picked from those. So far, just the one person on TLS has reported being a finalist. But they're also in at HLS and some top 10s with a full ride so not sure they would pick USC.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
