They just said they would add it to my file. nothing special. the quick response time was just interesting to me. someone was clearly monitoring that email closely.

Same. They really just give no indication of where they are at all and, save the few USC UGs who got in, they haven't put out another round or anything in 3 weeks... They have to know a lot of us have the GW deadline looming on Friday, you'd think they'd get one out before people commit even more to other schools.

Does anyone know if they give preference, or any credence, to LA residents? It seems like someone who lives in LA would be more inclined to attend should they be accepted off the wait list...

I suspect that's one reason they increased by scholarship so quickly.

After doing some inspecting, I found that, out of 405 USC apps on LSN, there were 170 acceptances registered (there are still a lot of pending applications) but only 9 confirmed attendees and about 21 "maybes". I determined an applicant's "maybe" status based upon where else they got in, what schools they should select over USC (high t10) and their geographic locations. Accepted people are probably more likely to report it than rejected people, and I don't know how other, more numbers-knowledge, people can take this info but maybe it's telling about USC's matriculation numbers? By these stats they'd only be matriculating 5-12 percent of their accepted students which means they'd need to accept 1700-4000 students to fill their class.

12.9% Admitts matriculated which seems low. I suspect that 2013-2016 will be about the same except they have had to spend more to keep their median.

I just spoke to the admissions office and they said they're not going to be releasing any more acceptances this week because there's a conference for counselors or something. There goes another thousand dollars I don't have -- like being kept on edge for 6 months wasn't bad enough...

I don't know about that... Do you really think there would be 160-170 accepted and attending students not on LSN?

well if you go by other cycles it is quite possible.

We'll know more the week of july 1st (deposit deadline). There is no reason to really expect decisions until that date.

I went df like well over two weeks ago, and I didn't get an email, and I haven't received a letter either...I think I've been dinged...I think that for those of y'all who have an LSAT that's at or below median shouldn't be too worried b/c I think GPA is valued a lot more than people think! Golly I wish my GPA was higher ohhhhh well...

You shouldn't be dinged... A 168 should be highly prized because, at least by LSN standards, they are not at the 167 median they want...

Anybody else feel like marching on Gould to demand expediency? There are, literally, tens of us.

I fear if I call the admissions office again asking for a decision they will seek a restraining order against me. They said everyone will get an initial decision by 5/31. They said their deposit deadline is July 1st for those admitted late May, so they claim there will be plenty of time to make an informed decision even if admitted on 5/31.

got the same email just now and sent them a reply. at least they are a bit more definitive on their decisions - sounds like offers will be made next week.

+1 same thing happened to me. Although they ignored the LOCI I sent last week so I kind of thought this email would be pertaining to that.

Not trying to keep my hopes up, but this is promising. They're obviously doing a wave before the second deposit deadline (July 1st), which means there will be at least (hopefully) two waves - the one that is coming and the one after the second deposit deadline. Will the next wave be the time for the 166ers? Not sure.
