Re: USC c/o 2016 Applicants
Anyone elses financial aid fail to even cover their tuition costs? Every other school offered me aid that would cover tuition + living costs... I can't figure out why it isn't covered here. Guess I have to wait till monday to figure this out. But I have no idea how they expect me to pay this. Maybe they are just telling me to take out private loans..
edit: I wonder if they thought my income had 3 or 4 extra 0's on the end of it.

You're referring to only being offered the federal unsub. loans for $20,500/year right? I got the same thing. I'm surprised there wasn't a grad plus loans offer as well.

Yup. It left me like 5k short from even being able to cover tuition lol. I am glad I wasn't the only one. I plan on calling tomorrow to better understand the situation.

You'll for sure be able to take Grad Plus loans. Something just isn't showing up right.

If I remember correctly, USC doesn't show that you're eligible to receive the Grad PLUS loan until after you've been approved for the loan by the government.Dmini7 wrote:Jonathk1 wrote:You're referring to only being offered the federal unsub. loans for $20,500/year right? And how do we go about being approved by the government?sdphill wrote:If I remember correctly, USC doesn't show that you're eligible to receive the Grad PLUS loan until after you've been approved for the loan by the government.Dmini7 wrote:Jonathk1 wrote:You're referring to only being offered the federal unsub. loans for $20,500/year right? Still in C1 review. It's already 4/21, and the first tuition deposit is a little over a week from now. I feel like I should contact them to ask what's taking them so long, but I don't want to make my situation worse. At this point I'm resigned to the likelihood that I will be waitlisted or dinged, but I want to know for sure. Would it be a good idea to contact USC Law and try to politely ask when I should expect a decision on my status?

So did any WL'ers do the video interview yet, or are we all just waiting for someone to do it first? It's due this Friday.
What are you guys wearing? I'm not sure if I should go full on suit, or just where a nice business casual shirt.

I happened upon my financial aid package before I received the email and immediately started freaking out, so I called the financial aid office. They said that this will just show scholarship (if any) and the guaranteed federal loan. The Grad PLUS loan isn't listed because the amount you apply for is based on the rest of your financial aid package, so it's variable. They said that something will be mailed out regarding applying for the grad PLUS loan. And for those of you who are still negotiating scholarships, they told me that they should start re-allocating the funds that were returned after the 4/15 deadline this week.

Re: USC c/o 2016 Applicants
Hello,
My application's status has been "complete" since 2/1. Is anyone else not even to CR1 yet? I called USC last week and they said that applications will be reviewed through the beginning of May and that I shouldn't worry.
Getting a bit nervous. Thanks for any insight.

I've been in Final Review now since April 11. :/ Any thoughts on what this means??
CR1 4/1 and CR2 about a week later.
