So I guess consensus is that USC will be one of the few schools to maintain their 167 median?

USC doesn't really negotiate that much at all. It's take it or leave it, has anyone asked and gotten more? I think it is because they have a smaller class, they can't really afford to.jimmy_dean wrote:fwiw, i got shut down on scholarship negotiations this morning. i'm really happy with what i've got ($75k) and i'm not really disappointed (167/3.69), but it would have been sweet to have $90 or so.

Still in final review from a few hours ago. Looks like I won't be lucky enough to get a quick change from FR to decision!

Re: USC c/o 2016 Applicants
Last year they took 188 total. Can they maintain a 167 taking that many this year? I'm not sure, perhaps someone can ask them how many applications they received, I venture it is about 4,500 based on LSN.Dream Weave wrote:So I guess consensus is that USC will be one of the few schools to maintain their 167 median?

I kinda wonder what they're doing with my app over there. I'm still in CR1 which is weirdddd. Like if it was in CR2 I'd just figure they were waiting to send out a wave of rejections/waitlists or whatever but what are they doing with it in CR1 for this long? It can't honestly be THAT amusing. Silly USC.

I was really disappointed with USC after negotiating with them. UCLA simply blew them out of the water. I'll be withdrawing from USC soon. Good luck everyone else on getting in!lawschoolsoldier wrote:USC doesn't really negotiate that much at all. It's take it or leave it, has anyone asked and gotten more? Does this signify anything about our chances? Is a quick change better? Worse? Does it matter? Am I going crazy from this madness?b123 wrote:+1md22 wrote:Still in final review from a few hours ago. Looks like I won't be lucky enough to get a quick change from FR to decision!

According to LSN the highest they give out is 135k followed by 120k. It makes no sense, they should just offer full rides to a few of people instead of 120k to a huge chunk of them.

Went into FR around 2PM EST from CR2 on 3/12. Still no decision rendered..i don't want to put negative thoughts into my head, but considering some people got acceptance emails soon after going into FR today, I'm assuming this is a bad sign

At this point it is better to be waitlisted. If you look at those who got off the waitlist last year some of them got as much as 75k.
