Last year when I was rejected I was stuck on committee 1st read for 2-3 months. I was definitely an auto-reject then. So hopefully its a good sign?

This year I went from 1st -> 2nd in about a week. Still stuck on 2nd as of 01/24.

Does anyone think that it would hurt my chances to not apply for the Rothman? I just figure with only 75th percentile numbers it's unlikely that I will be the one Rothman scholar chosen

I've been stuck on Committee 1st read for a month as of today, and don't think I'm an auto-reject. I think it's a crapshoot.

Why wouldn't you apply? I don't think not applying hurts your chances, but if you apply it will at least solidify that you are interested in the school and who knows, maybe you will get chosen. Nothing to lose by applying.

Go for it, you got nothing to lose because some that will be offered wil turn it down for higher ranked schools they get accepted to.

does anyone know what kind of stats past Rothman scholars have actually had? I've received 3 or 4 emails regarding it, but I don't know if I should take the time to write another statement if I haven't got a shot in hell.

Re USC & the LLM from LSE:
Just talked to the dean's office and the program was terminated. She wasn't sure if it happened last year or the year before but LSE decide on it from their end.

EDIT: LSE moved the prog to CLS.... 8)

I can't blame LSE to be honest…. CLS seems like a better fit for them.

Only 50 invites? Well, shit. I guess I'm going to go out there and invent a "useful device" between now and the deadline.

Sorry if I make you any more worried with my numbers (sensing auto-ding here), but I've been stuck on complete since 11/5.

I'm pretty sure I'm getting an auto-ding. I have a feeling I'm going to get double-fisted by UCLA and USC on the same day. I will definitely be blacking out that night.

Best wishes. I'll be right there with you. Every time I think about UCLA, my stomach churns ... :/
