How'd you go about visiting? I live in L.A. and just haven't gotten around to it.

Just went online and signed up. Can't remember what I sat in on, but it was something like the history of the law/why the law is what it is. Not a traditional 1L class but interesting. Some of the kids stared at me like I was a weirdo so not sure if many people sit in on a class or...

My only - for USC is the building. It just feels so....80's.

EDIT: I am not a weirdo. That's why I was confused. I'm normal and people here on TLS can vouch for it!
Not sure TLS users would be the best judges for that..

Still stuck on 11/13 complete, but I wouldn't be surprised if they wait until later to look at my file due to my stats (even if I was granted a fee waiver).

This is true. Normal on the outside, obsessively status checking on the inside.

My status hasn't changed from committee second read, but the status date changed from 11/27 to 12/3. Any ideas what's up with this?

Complete 11/12 annnnd.... that's it.
Sigh. Already heard back from UCLA, I just want to go under review on my other schools so I can justify my (totally-not-obsessive) status checking!!!

My application has been complete, but has not been updated since 10/16. Seems like a very long time, but who knows, I'm probably just obsessed.

I've been complete since 11/5. Out of my ten apps, USC is doing the best job of playing the "I'm gonna purposely wait to text you back so you don't think I'm too anxious" game. Well done, guys.

Guys- check out last year's thread. USC is slow and random with who they review. Not every school is lightning fast like UCLA/Georgetown. In fact most schools aren't. Also, it's not even Christmas yet!

My app just changed to Committee 1st read. How many of these do they go through, I'm assuming 3?

Went complete on 12/4, still there obviously. I think this whole updating your status like 50 times instead of just saying "Under Review" is kind of cruel.

Also, heard from Berkeley this week which alleviated a lot of my anxiety. USC would have to offer something very appealing ($$$) for there to be any temptation.

Still complete since 9/23. When I got dinged last year, I think I was stuck in Committee 1st Read for about 2 or 3 months, hopefully being stuck in complete for 2 or 3 months is a better sign.

I have a theory that SC is still sore about losing to UCLA... maybe they are trying to torment us Bruins by forcing us to wait as long as possible... bastards!

lol I doubt it. I think there is more UCLA undergrads at USC law right now than any other school (i think USC is 2nd, Berkeley 3rd and other UC schools after that).

Just to add fuel to speculation: I went under second read on 12/3 and then my status date updated today (12/6) but still at 2nd read.

Still no update here, but I'm marginal, so I know it might be a while...not to mention it's only been a little over 3 weeks.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
