If it was only determined by numbers, that in itself would produce a numerical ranking. It's more likely that they consider qualitative factors collectively from a holistic approach, starting with those who have expressed continued interest in the school.

Goodluck for those who are on the waitlist!

It's actually more likely based on 25/median/75. They will take those that make these numbers better.

ETA: I hope this isn't the case as all I can help is the 25th LSAT if I'm lucky enough to make the WL.

I actually would have to disagree with that. Solidifying their numbers to match previous classes would only matter to a certain extent in the waitlist game. It's probably a collection of everything. Assuming that the majority of the available space that will free up for waitlisted students are from the pool of accepted students who eventually decide not to attend (who by the way, are usually in the 75% at USC and have been accepted elsewhere), it's difficult to argue that the university will be choosing students off the waitlist to fill those very numbers that they wish to hold. And of course, this is under the assumption that the majority of students in the 25%/median levels will indeed choose to go to USC.

So we're strongly encouraged to send them a video? This makes me want to pull a legally blonde/ Elle Woods move.

Has to be unedited, webcam style. So the jacuzzi shot would suffer... :(

Bring laptop to a wi-fi enabled jacuzzi? I'm actually considering doing this just for the lulz.

"Wifi-Enabled Jacuzzi" is a better movie title than "Hot Tub Time Machine", so your cinematic endeavor might draw interest from Paramount.

Do you think it matters when we submit the video? As in, if we get it in early, will we have a better shot at being pulled of the waitlist? Or, do they not even start reviewing waitlists until after the deposit deadline?

I'm guessing they'll evaluate it when the deposit deadline (5/1) passes. Could be wrong. The deadline to get the video in is 4/26 though...so maybe after that they'll start?

Will all of this pushing, I assume that not doing the video would be a detriment to your chances. Looks like I'm tanning and practicing my smizing over the next week.

Not to interrupt the WL/waiting frenzy, but anyone know when the law day info is gonna go out? I got an (obviously form letter) e-mail from a 3L stating that RSVP info would go out in mid February. Uhhhhh??

Do you think that they sent out the complete wait list yesterday and everyone else is just rejections and (hopefully some) acceptances?

Has anyone actually had their money increased?? Judging by Facebook sites UCLA, Vanderbilt, Cornell and others ranked close to USC already have a ton of committed. I know only about 1-2 that have committed to USC so far which is fewer than in the past.

99.9 and I have dibs on two of the April spots though so you should just shoot for one of the May spots. Cheers!

co-signed.

however, TSINWIS (this school is not worth its sticker) even if both of us magically get in. So not sure why i am still ITT, to be honest...

With my numbers, I'll pay triple sticker price just to get in.
Totally not desperate.

sorry, haven't been keeping up with this thread. went from CR1 on 2/25 to final review yesterday-- fairly certain I jumped straight there and never hit CR2 because I check my status a lot. any idea how long until I get a decision? and rejections come by mail? that seems cruel.

Anyone sending a LOCI and the video? I don't want to bombard them with both, but I feel weird not writing a LOCI. I would say a LOCI after the first deposit deadline, but that's so close to when the video is due (April 26th).

I'm planning on it. I'm going to send the LOCI first and then do the video. I might send a second sometime in the middle of/late May. The WL email encouraged us to stay in touch.
