That will not matter. It's a numbers game, plain and simple. If you've got a higher LSAT or GPA than the next guy on the list, you're in. If not, well then at least you dress well.CO2016YEAH wrote:I might try to schedule some campus tours with admissions staff. Dress well and strive to make a solid impression. In the meantime, prepping for a retake is a good idea.

Thanks so much! I was looking at http://www.law.ufl.edu/student-affairs/ ... s-expenses .... glad they have updated tuition under new student but not under current students, Thanks a lot UF! Not thrilled tuition is going up but glad it's only $25/hr not the typical 15%.flaw2016 wrote:http://www.law.ufl.edu/student-affairs/ ... l-aid-infoMichNole19 wrote:Where did you see the new tuition rate? the website or on isis? I included 4 LORs in my application. 3.93 GPA, 162 LSAT. I got $$ and grants.

yeah, you keep asking if you have a chance to get off the WL but you never shared your numbers. How could we know if you have a chance?spark1 wrote:still waiting anyone off the WL?

What should I wear to ILSP (orientation)? The schedule says business casual for the first day, but I'm not sure what this means in law school (i.e. I don't want to be over dressed, but still want to make a good impression).
Any suggestions (especially from 2&3 L's) would be much appreciated !

Never, ever, ever show up with a tie and no jacket.sublime wrote:I have always interpreted business casual as slacks, dress shoes, button down, and tie depending on the situation, but not jacket.
Unless you are a girl, then I really have no idea.

That is what 90% of guys wore at ILSP. If you wear a suit, you will stand out.sublime wrote:I have always interpreted business casual as slacks, dress shoes, button down, and tie depending on the situation, but not jacket.

Really? (I don't mean at orientation, just generally) It seems it is a somewhat common thing.
The only acceptable option is jacket/no tie.

I emailed the coordinator of UF's ILSP just to clarify what was expected of incoming 1L's for the business casual dress days of ILSP and she told me that any of these options are acceptable: slacks, dress shirt and a jacket; slacks, dress shirt and tie and no jacket; or khakis and a polo shirt.

Good God people, it's an orientation not a job interview. Just wear whatever the fuck you think will make you look professional while not sweating like crazy. Fashion advice re: shirt and tie/no tie =/= whether it would be acceptable to do either.

I don't know, but I feel like most of us 1Ls are pretty nervous for orientation. Many of us have probably also never been asked to dress business casual before. So for me at least, it was a question worth asking.LSATmakesMeNeurotic wrote:

Don't be nervous. Everyone is in the same boat. Try to relax and meet people the first couple days. No reason to stress yet.Florida2013 wrote:I don't know, but I feel like most of us 1Ls are pretty nervous for orientation.
