28k/yr or 84k over 3 years on 2.5 gpa stipulation. That's a negligible stipulation, right?

at ASW they made it clear it was literally impossible to sink below 2.5

You literally have to be one of the 2 worse students in the school to get below a 2.5 and at that point, just drop out.

FWIW one of my profs told me they are upping the class size this year, taking the revenue over high medians. So I would expect medians to drop this year.

I'm extremely curious to know what you TLSers think the implications of this strategy would be? Not only rankings wise

If they pull more low numbers at sticker and offer more rides to high numbers they could keep their medians, although all these 166s imply otherwise.

GULC pulled a "name your price" strategy. However, a lot of people who requested full rides were told they would get nothing.

Reading the USC thread, they are trying to stall acceptances til late april/early may. If I don't hear back before the deposit date I'm going to be quite upset.

I'm strongly considering Minnesota because of the scholly, however, I haven't heard back from very many schools yet.

Them throwing me a full ride tilted me more than it excited me. I'm worried that they are going to fuck up their medians and drop out of the T20. With at least in-state at Texas (and maybe more, we shall see) and a Cornell acceptance I'm very much unsure of where I sit. I'm trying to keep my unabashed love of the Twin Cities out of my brain as much as I can.

EDIT: also, big problem is that TLS != reality, but I don't know how much being on here has skewed my evaluations of everything.

Their medians and their ranking isn't going to change their employment prospects, which for a law school, is pretty good. But debating UT, Minn, and Cornell is a pretty good dilemma to have.

Yes, my life is just a never-ending stream of First World Problems (then again, I'm a WASPy male going to law school so that comes as a shock to exactly nobody). This would be easier if the thought of leaving Austin, even if it was to go back to Minneapolis, gave me headaches and queso-withdrawal immediately.

Could you point me to stats about their employment outcomes? I never know where to look because you have to cut through the 'these aren't accurate!!!' static to find any actual info.

I did middle and high school in Omaha and I can tell you that a single person making 100k has access to some pretty excellent shit (but Omaha is still quite dull). Well if anyone else is looking at Twin Cities vs. Austin I can tell you that it really is close, but I would say that the people in Austin are friendlier but the city of Minneapolis itself is nicer and easier to get around. Both have great music and great food and lots of excellent outdoor activities. I know a lot of y'all are worried about the snow and the cold but trust me, it won't impact your life as much as you'd expect.
