Really impressed with Vandy's speed on my app. I have a few that I submitted the same day that still haven't even gone complete.

I have exactly the same dates. I didn't interview, so I've been worried, but my numbers were good for Vandy. I can't imagine they'd be doing that quick a turnaround for a rejection with the terrible (for them) number of applicants?

Honestly I think it must be a great sign. My decision was mailed out two days after my app went complete and it was good news. Good luck regardless!~

Congrats! I'm really curious about all of these quick responses in accepting. Were you contacted by Vandy first? Given a fee waiver?

Haha, I'm wondering because it seems as if they had a box set aside and when the person finished applying they just sent the acceptance right away. I don't think they had the time to fully review my application and there it was.

Submitted 1/16, completed 1/19, got a tracking email from FedEx yesterday telling me a 5lbs-someting is headed my way from Vanderbilt, should be here by end of week I guess. Very quick turnaround indeed!

Oh BTW, I was just talking to someone in admissions last week who mentioned that hotels are apparently really scarce and/or pricey for the March ASP due to some SEC basketball thing that weekend. I'm trying to work out the logistics now, but be sure to either book a student host or a hotel soon!

Haha I would consider the SEC men's bball tourney (March 13-17, I think) more than just some basketball thing, especially because there's a good chance UF will drop a game (maybe not a good chance, but I'm hoping it happens)

I wanted to visit Tulane this past weekend but there was some NFL football game thing happening in New Orleans and hotels were super expensive so I couldn't go.

I hate when sports things interfere with law school things!

I felt similarly when I was held at UT, but it all worked out in the end. I've got a feeling this cycle is going to end up much more favorably than it looks right now.

Did you guys get a viewbook after you applied and if so, how long did it take to reach you after you applied? I applied a little over a week ago and in an email I was told they sent one but i havent received it. Obviously it is not a big deal at all but I would like one.

Is it common to write a why Vandy essay? I didn't know it was an option and since I'm on the edge it would definitely be useful for me, but how would I go about sending that? Do I just send it to admissions and tell them that I've attached a LOCI? Would that screw me over if I'm waitlisted (which is what I'm wishing will happen) and then have little to talk about when I actually need to send a LOCI? I've been complete since 12/05 and I'm getting really anxious :\

I thought I read someone saying admissions told them the last week of Feb fwiw.
