Based on prior experiences by TLS'ers, Vandy's interview seems to be more laid back than NU's, with most people getting asked why law, why Vanderbilt, and then discussions goes to extracurriculars and personality fit. Vandy has a very small class size, and interviewers are instructed to see how well applicants would fit in with the culture of Vanderbilt.Vanderbilt's Website wrote:Vanderbilt encourages all J.D. applicants to schedule an admission interview as part of the application process. More than 700 VLS alumni in 37 states and 12 foreign locations conduct admission interviews, and VLS admissions officers interview applicants on university campuses and in major cities from coast to coast. Visit Virtual VLS for more information and to schedule an interview (December 1 deadline).
Also, based on previews applicants' threads, even off-campus interviewers get a copy of your application before the interview. I'll be interviewing soon and will definitely update you with my experiences.
