Good luck y'all!
Well, technically it can't be a lie, because by reading the tweet, technically we have "heard a peep" from Yale, as long as we treat reading and hearing as the same thing. Yay!
Not to play devil's advocate, but tweets and peeps are different sounds. Trust me - as a kindergarten teacher, I was the local authority on animal noises... oinks, moos, meows, bleats. Old McDonald had nothing on me.

jk - I should probably be drinking now.

New rule: no posting in this thread this weekend unless you get the call?

You can agree to this proposition just by not posting anymore :D

Anyone know how much movement there was today? aka those with access to the FB group.

I actually think there will be movement tomorrow. Think of how cool that would be: best Easter ever.

Doesn't that sound like a lot, perhaps even way more than usual for this point in the admissions cycle?

I'm not worried about the actual answer to this, just someone please post YES. Just say YES. ADMISSION FOR EVERYBODY.

Shouldn't it be more than 60 remaining? Keep in mind that admissions and an alumnus are in the group. Also, they accepted a bit over 230 last cycle.

This post is from March 27, 2012:
Twit wrote:Seems we know a few things:

1) There is normally a March 17-19 wave of rejects with the last wave of acceptances coming immediately after. It hasn't come (yet), and this may because of the later application deadline.

2) So far, the people who have been admitted are the presumptive admits (by Asha) and those who have gotten a 12 in faculty review. People who score an 11 are held on to until later. Someone mentioned earlier that there are about 150 members of the Yale c/o 2015 group on facebook, so there are probably about 75 spots left to fill in the class once you account for people not in the group, not on fb, etc.

For us early applicants (pre-New Years), this news isn't great, but it's not dismal. If we haven't heard yet, it means that we probably scored 11's in FR, which means that we'll get in IF there aren't enough 12's still in FR to fill the class AND we look nice on the second take. :) If pushing the deadline back two weeks pushes the last wave back by the same amount, we should be hearing late this week or early next...

Here's hoping.
Although after a bit more reading, it seems like this was referencing a post about a week before.

Two years ago - March 24th, 2011 had 167 members in the respective group.

So it does look like they're a little behind.

There's a lot of Facebook speculation going on. It could be the fact that some people don't have Facebooks, don't use them, or simply don't feel like being part of a Yale group on Facebook. Sorry to burst the bubble. I almost didn't join it. The only reason I did is because I had a question I wanted to ask that was more appropriate than here.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
