As for the hold numbers, I'd imagine it's impossible to gauge even a ballpark on how many get in vs WL/ding. But whatever the number is, the number of admits off the hold column has to be higher this cycle than previous cycles given the decrease in applicants and volatility of the cycle.

Despite the USNWR drop, Miami's job numbers improve by 3%+, they now have a higher placement than UF even with more students!

Anyone looking at housing or roommate situations right now? I am not from the area and know nothing about where to live, and definitely am hoping to not be living alone.

did you sign up for the roommate referral service? on the Facebook group they said that they would be dishing out roommate suggestions near the end of April I believe...

How "in-depth" was that questionnaire? Just because someone shares similar interests, doesn't mean they aren't a douche. Not trying to be pessimistic, I'd just hate to be paired with someone and in not work out, especially in law school. Anyone know what the opting out process is like if you don't like any of your suggestions?

At another Florida school from my UG, it was all pretty much bullshit like "Are you a morning person or a night person" and "are you messy" and "do you smoke" Fwiw

It needs to be things like:
Who did you vote for in 2012?
How many nights a week do you go out?
Should Marijuana be legal?
Do you like to cook or eat out?
A mix of lifestyle, philosophy, and personality. Unfortunately schools usually have to be somewhat conservative in their questions.

yeah, I looked back at some of the previous years threads...seems like if your status changes back to the LSAC link, something is about to happen...I think they have the file open and are going to make decision soon...hopefully in our favor...

Hi everyone, my boyfriend who is currently a senior at UM has been placed on hold at UM law. He has a 153/3.67 GPA. Is there a chance he will be admitted off the hold? Is being on hold the same as being waitlisted? When do you think he would hear by?

I am a soph at UM and am also planning on attending UM law, but I really am hoping he gets in.

Being on hold is different than waitlist. Basically, they were unable to reach a decision about your boyfriend's application and will review it again before April 30th (at least that is what I was told)
I was placed on hold, and then about 2 weeks later was placed on the waitlist. He should hear back before April 30th. Good luck to you both
