Does anyone know when the new employment statistics from c/o 2012 come out? BC did fairly well (relatively to peer schools). Would be interested to see if they have kept it up.

Last year's NLJ250 placement stats came out February 28th. So it should be fairly soon.

seems to be the general consensus on here so let me ask a better question haha

Assuming BU/BC @ sticker is about the highest rank you can get into, how much $ would it take for a upper T2 (50-70ish) to be a better option than either of these at sticker?
I don't want to infect this thread with talk about debt at other schools. It's best discussed over here: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=1

That being said, there are tons of threads that echo my sentiments. Found here, here or here.

If you got into both, BC is pretty obviously the choice of the two. We'd need to know more about your goals and the other options to tell you anything more though.

1L Here. In my experience and those of others, BC is very amenable to scholarship negotiation. I initially was slapped with sticker (#s were so-so--see profile), but negotiated a merit award by using offers from peer schools as bargaining chips. IIRC, they got back to me within a day, and that sealed the deal--I sent in my deposit the very next day. I might have been at W&M or ND (which have significantly worse employment stats than BC, despite the similarity in ranking) if it weren't for BC's willingness to play the negotiation game.

Friends don't let friends accrue ~200K in debt.

As much as I love BC and like BU, no way. Not in this economy, not even if you were planning on doing PI. Yes, if you're independently very wealthy but assuming youre not living off a trust fund, dont do it

Complete 1/8

Under review for the first time today, 2/20.

Even though I have gone through this at other points, its weird to go through today knowing that thousands of miles away, a group of people is looking over and possibly debating my application/possible legal future.

Complete 12/10
UR 1/18

Predictions for when I hear: I am betting 2/28.

Over/Under?

(I have decided to make this a game in order to make the waiting process appear "fun")

But, an even finer (or larger?) cut has BC at 22% for so-called 'Big Law', i.e., that is your approx. chance of earning enough money to pay back sticker loans:

LST has BC at 26% for "large firm" which is big law+some firms that are 100 people+. NJL250 list doesn't matter as much outside of NYC. not saying 26% makes it much better. im just throwing it out there

is it weird to bring my fiance to ASD? I dont want to be THAT person but hes inevitably affected by my choice and hes interested in checking it out since I'm excited about it, etc.

I don't think it's weird at all.
