Sorry Meyer, i think your numbers are too low... but you never know.

What about 166, 3.1? Is my gpa just too low for them to look out? One of my top choices, but not holding my breath

traditionally, the boston schools (meaning bu/bc) are gpa heavy.. but with the hit to their medians this year, they might consider you.

Any chance for 162, 3.59? Hoping that the LSAT median drop will help.

I remember when I solicited for the merit based they sent one e-mail saying "someone will contact you", then getting the waiver over a week later. I may have solicited prior to the app even going up though.

Application is officially in though! Good luck everyone.

I sent an email asking for one, and they sent me back a response saying they will give me an answer soon. That was this morning, I still have heard no word.

edit: according to a few others on here it may take up to a week to receive an answer.

Don't worry, you're not alone. They replied to me last Tuesday though saying that they'd reply with a fee waiver within the week.

They responded to me last Tuesday saying I should receive news about my fee waiver "very soon"... It'll be a week tomorrow that's not very soon to me.

Hey guys I have a question for those of you that applied this year (I'll be applying to BC next year ). Any help would be appreciated, and forgive me if I am posting this in the wrong place.

Quick background:

I am currently a junior and my GPA is right at a 3.49 as of now. In one month when this semester is over it will probably be around a 3.54, and by the time my junior year is over (spring 13) it will possibly be around 3.59 - 6

Now, I intend on taking the LSAT in June (also October if necessary) and applying in the fall of senior year.

My question is this:

Since my application will be viewed at the beginning (or during) my first senior semester, will my GPA up until my Junior year (along with LSAT obviously) be all that is really considered? In other words, will my entire senior year chances to raise my GPA be futile since they do not consider that year for obvious reasons (since a decision has to be rendered before I would finish Senior year)?

Thanks for the help!

Yeah-- how could they consider your senior year GPA if you don't even have any grades from that year? If you're really concerned about your GPA and you get a higher enough LSAT to consider schools better than BC, i'd wait a year, keep getting As and apply after your senior year. Take a year or two off-- you'll be glad you did.

Yeah, it makes sense that they wouldn't consider the senior year grades. I guess I was just hoping that senior year wouldn't be completely disregarded in some way lol. I had already considered delaying graduation, but what you say is true, I should wait and see how I do on the LSAT first and then decide what to do. Thanks for the reply!

Yeah, I think if you score 167/168+ then it's totally worth waiting and getting that gpa higher.. It could get you into cornell and georgetown and possibly higher schools if you get 170+. good luck!

I still havent gotten a follow up response and I sent my fee waiver request on Friday. I really want to send in my application by the end of the week. I wonder if I should email them in a couple days. I sent a request to WUSTL, and they sent me a waiver back in less than 15 mins.

You guys think it would be rude if I sent a follow up email in a few days?

I sent my request November 5th or 6th and am still waiting. If you email them, I'd be curious to hear their response.
