I got it too, I'm not sure. Do you have a public service/social justice background? They might have sent me one since I did TFA or they just sent it to everyone... but I would think they want more applications to that scholarship, so applying couldn't hurt...

Do you think it's true that the PI scholarship committee doesn't have access to admissions files? Like they're doing it without any knowledge of GPA and LSAT?

The application actually explicitly confirms this: "Applicants are strongly encouraged to provide letters of recommendation specific to their past work in public service. Admission files for applicants will not be available to the scholarship committee." Or at least, that's how I read it.

Yeah, just surprising. Maybe I'm cynical.

Fair enough. They also say something about highly qualified candidates, and in my mind, that means LSAT/GPA...

CONGRATS :D

PS: I received the public service scholarship email today to. Perusing the last years winners, I do not have the related work experience to be competitive so I'm not going to waste their time.

ETA: I applied last cycle and was denied. I received the email and then got the ding about 2 weeks after, so I can assure you, the email does not indicate anything.

Is snail mail the only way that BC notifies their applicants?

No, I think most people have heard via email so far. Not sure why they made a few of us wait it out, but I'm not inclined to be bitter now since the outcome was positive :D

got it too.

Does anyone know if they prefer an essay answer or should we just number it #1 and #2 in response to the questions?

Just got denied admission entirely with a 3.67/165 via email. I am very surprised by this I dont know what I did wrong. BC was basically my top school as well.........stunned.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
