It would be nice to know if anyone that has been rejected received an invitation...at least it'd be proof that it indicates nothing...

This is what I'm hoping for. I actually have two other offers that I'm really excited about, one of which I'll probably take, but I'd like to be rejected here first. Just for peace of mind.It would be nice to know if anyone that has been rejected received an invitation...at least it'd be proof that it indicates nothing...

1. Continue waiting;bigfootseattle wrote:Been complete since 2/6, but no change on my status checker since then. Emailed them 2 days ago and got that automated invitation that everyone's talking about. What should I do now?
No, please no! This is perhaps the most inviting and encouraging thread on TLS. Don't start with the retake banter. Although that's true for many people, I'm sick of seeing that regurgitated on this forum for just about any application problem. BC just needs to get on it. This is largely out of our hands at this point.drive4showLSAT4dough wrote:1. Continue waiting;bigfootseattle wrote:Been complete since 2/6, but no change on my status checker since then. 2. Continue reading TLS while you wait;
3. Independently come to the inevitable conclusion: Retake.
mind sharing your experience with BU?ultrasajid wrote:I haven't seen any movement since I applied on 1/13, so I sent in an LOCI today. No response yet. Also sent in an LOCI to BU, who responded in about an hour.
I'm not really that impatient about BC, though. 8-12 weeks is 8-12 weeks.
Applied 1/13, no update until early March, I believe, last update 3/14. Sent in the LOCI today and an hour later got a simple acknowledgment e-mail.gatorgirl2012 wrote: mind sharing your experience with BU?

Some schools give out money as they go, otherwise gave it out in batches after a good amount of decisions were out. They are not going to wait to read every last app before giving out money. That screws over the people who applied a reasonable point in the cycle and not at the last minute in February. Especially if they want to have those kids who they accepted to put down a deposit and attend their school. So yes, it is a completely reasonable thing to call and ask about, especially since it took all of1 minute and 30 seconds. I'm pretty sure I am going to do a hell of a job in the legal field...Big Dog wrote:Please, please everyone, STOP calling. Instead, put on whatever critical thinking cap you might have, and recognize the fact that BC has yet to read/process January & February applications.
Not only do they have money left, they have lotsa of it. They have to. They have barely processed half of their total apps.
So, stop wasting their time with senseless phone calls. They serve no pupose. (And realistically, if you are truly this anal/anxious, perhaps the legal field is not a good place for you to hang your hat.)
End of rant.

Then multiply that by the other hundreds (thousands?) of applicants who have still not been read. What if they followed your lead and called? What IS the point?So yes, it is a completely reasonable thing to call and ask about, especially since it took all of1 minute and 30 seconds.
No, but any school would be moronic to allocate all of their budget when close to half of the apps are still unread. Would you really want to attend such a place? Seriously?Some schools give out money as they go, otherwise gave it out in batches after a good amount of decisions were out. They are not going to wait to read every last app before giving out money.
No sh*t sherlock, I figured as much. I did learn that I will not be hearing today about money and that I will be hearing next week, which helps in my own decision making process.Big Dog wrote:Then multiply that by the other hundreds (thousands?) of applicants who have still not been read. Besides "knowing" that they have yet not allocated all of their scholarship money -- which any critical thinking person could have easily concluded -- you still have zero information, correct? Is your scholly $100k or zero, or somewhere in between. You learned (literally) nothing. And that is a fact.
