I was thinking the same thing for a while. But maybe they just really like high GPAs?

Shit, dude. All I can say is BC is being really unpredictable this cycle. If you hang in there I have faith they'd let you in off the WL.

fucking fuck I already booked a trip to BC, this is horrible.

BC was my primary choice with $$$ aside from USC.

I guess i'm out of consideration for the PSS now, i'm royally fucked.

Incredibly sad moment though: after I'm done lamenting the email I turn my attention towards my research for a Transitional Justice paper... wouldn't you know the article I'm annotating for my bibliography was written by a BC Law student, sigh.

BC is completely unpredictable. Anteater, with those numbers, I just don't see how they won't accept you off the waitlist (with $$). Did you have any C&F issues? Like Alanshore, I have a feeling BC will look at their medians this spring and realize that they're gonna have to take people like you if they plan to avoid a drop in the rankings.

Fucking waitlist broke my heart especially since I've shown so much interest in BC. The Feb 22nd ASD was the only one I could attend and already booked a hotel in the area, guess I'll just wander around the school and check out apartments in case I do get off the WL.

I guess i'm out of consideration for the PSS now, i'm royally fucked.

my advice is take the trip to bean town and see if you can even see yourself going from so cal to there. If you are that taken by the campus and environment, put down the deposit at SC and then if you get pulled off the WL with $$$ forgo the deposit and enroll at BC. I know it seems like a shitty plan since losing a deposit sucks and $ off the WL is unlikely but I think its alot different now. I got off the WL to a T35 with $15k/yr last cycle. it's possible. and losing 500 is nothing compared to the scholly you could gain from switching to from SC to BC later

haven't gotten into SC yet, but I'll put in a deposit at WUSTL/BU/Minn and wait out my multiple WL's and SC.

That's so weird. We have the exact same numbers and I got in. I'm from MA originally though, so perhaps it's a kind of regional YP measure? Like they want a LOCI explaining why you want to move cross country or something...

I think this is what I'll do, I've spoken with an assistant dean of admissions and multiple people in the finaid office and this seems like the only logical solution.

Mostly bummed because I don't think I'll get enough $$$ off the WL, won't get proper consideration for the PSS, and I've fucked my visit next week.
