Last year, BU did some calls about a week/week and a half after the date change. Hope it happens again. I'm getting really nervous. I haven't thought about it too much until my date change. my stomach hurts.

I agree- it's weird but I think since they can only accept around 20? (maybe I'm totally off) ED students, many EDers get sent to RD (and then probably admitted pretty quickly after that) and they have already been evaluating RD applicants for a little while already (I'm assuming). Other than the fact that I wouldn't want to commit to BU right away, even though it is one of my top choices, I really don't think I'd be accepted ED and I think I will actually hear earlier as an RD applicant because I won't have to wait for them to reject me as an EDer and put me in the pile with the other RDs.

Thats actually one of my worries as an EDer. I think the odds are against me that I will be accepted into the ED program. You make a good point though about being admitted to RD pretty quickly even if you are rejected from ED. If they have already looked at your application I doubt they need that much more time to go over it again.

BU is one of my top choices as well so I would love to attend.

Yeah I'm totally not advocated applying RD just to hear back earlier, haha. For your case, if BU is your top choice then it makes sense to try to get a full ride and it's totally worth waiting an extra couple weeks to hear back if they defer you to RD. Good luck; i'm rooting for ya!

In last years thread it seemed like a lot of the ED defferals were accepted 1-3 days after their defferal. So I don't think the down time is significantly different for people who would be in admit territory were they an RD applicant.

I'm also an ED-er, and judging by last year's thread we will be waiting right up until the 20th to hear :/

Application being held until after my Feb retake even though I told them that it would be ok to go ahead and process it anyways.

Just FYI for anyone who cares

Thats a bummer, I would definitely like to hear earlier. I would still go to BU with less than full scholly, but I would need it to be somewhat substantial. Do you know if scholarship info is in the acceptance packet?

Sometimes. On last year's thread one person said BU said that they were waiting a little while longer on scholly info because they werent sure how ED would play out. A few people got offers in their acceptance packet but many who had #s that I would assume got them $$ later on, did not.

Checking in, a little late  Went complete 11/20, no status updates.

BU and BC may be a reach for me.. Stats: LSAT 166, GPA 3.5, WE in higher ed (adjunct instructor), and an MSc gpa 3.93 (foreign institution).

Would also like to add that I am feeling quite proud of myself for finally getting the hang of the TLS acronyms

Updated today. Think this is my second since going complete on 11/8. Might be my first, but I seem to remember another sometime mid November. Too my status checkers to mentally keep track. Good luck, folks!

^ Why is that? BU is a great school... I'm from the West Coast, and it maintains a sterling reputation out there.

yeah, pretty standard. usually first or second week of dec. they used to release before thanksgiving but since they started ED, they seem to be delayed a week or two

Decisions started coming out on the friday of this week last year. Here's hoping for some movement tomorrow!
