Wouldn't that be nice? I've been telling myself that schools are going to want to snatch up the splitters as quickly as possible (a la UVA) but who knowsshifty_eyed wrote:The two on LSN were waitlisted first, and then accepted with money. Trying not to get ahead of myself and concentrate on preparing, but man this website is tempting.

If you are a splitter and apply early in the cycle, you are probably more likely to get waitlisted as the schools wait to see what kind of crop of applicants the year brings. Then late in the game use money to try and protect their medians.

Having fee waiver trouble with the admissions office. They said they waived it but the fee is still coming up. Hopefully we can work around this!

Guessing I will be calling LSAC as well.AlanShore wrote:same.. i was going to call LSAC (that was their suggestion as everything seemed to be fine on their end) but accidentally added them to my list and checked out and paid for it. oops! o well!TheThriller wrote:Having fee waiver trouble with the admissions office. UPDATE: LSAC was completely unhelpful. They first told me that BU did not participate in the "fee waiver program" and then they told me that I had to send in a paper application in order to get my fee waived.
Honestly, if this is the case, I'm not going to send them an application, it's not worth it if both BU and LSAC are blaming each other and myself while accepting none of the responsibility.
UPDATE: Was given a waiver code, does not work. BU is still insisting that I should not even have an option to be charged at all.
Sorry to say but there is very little that can be done that would make me submit my application now after all this.

Has anyone gotten fee waivers from BU and if so, what was your LSAT score? I'm above median for both LSAT and GPA and haven't heard anything..

I snagged one, and it worked... Above median LSAT.

Also, seems like the best place to ask...3.1 169, think I can pull any $? Or actually get accepted?

Oiyyy... I'm not good with predicting anybody's cycle, let alone splitters. Have you tried checking LSN?emarxnj wrote:Could you explain? From one splitter to another, probably money of a WL? Thats what the trend seems to be on LSN.emarxnj wrote:Could you explain? Something is funky with BU and LSAC. BU has it recorded in their system that we have waivers but the LSAC site is still charging the fee. I have literally been on the phone with LSAC and BU for hours and all they ever did was blame each other.

Re: BU 2012-2013 Applicants
Well screw BU and their stinginess with fee waivers... makes no sense to me. It's like YP with waivers. Whatever, not applying then.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
