STATUS CHECKER: http://law.fordham.edu/admissions/459.htm

Application Timeline
http://law.fordham.edu/admissions/612.htm
The School enrolls students only in the fall semester, and the Admissions Committee accepts applications from September 1st through March 1st preceding the fall semester to which admission is sought. Applications are reviewed on a "rolling basis" - in the order in which they become complete-so it is advantageous to apply sooner rather than later.

Once an application becomes complete, an applicant will receive a decision approximately 6-8 weeks after the completion date.

Application Requirements
http://law.fordham.edu/admissions/347.htm
  • JD Application (through LSAC, or request a paper application by emailing lawadmissions@law.fordham.edu)
  • Personal Statement
  • Up to three optional letters of recommendation
  • $70 non-refundable application fee

Dingbat, you rock as always.

I will also check in on this throughout the year and be happy to give my vast and far reaching 1L opinion.

Checking in! I'm retaking in October, Fordham's pretty high up on my list and Lincoln Center is one of my favorite places in New York (it's actually one of my favorite places period).

What time is your tour? If you want I can take time out of my busy schedule and answer other questions while you're here

:) that would be great! my tour is 4-4:45 on thursday. I will be in NYC because I'm doing a recruiting event/info session for my company at Baruch. The event ends at 2pm and my flight doesnt leave until 8pm so I have a little while.

I applied for the part time program. I was just wondering if they allow part time students to switch to full time after a year or so of attending or if I would be locked in to the part time for the full 4 yrs? I currently am planning on being part time the full four years, but just in case things change it is good to know my options. Also are classes different for part time students vs. full time: difficulty, grades, professors, quality, etc?
Thanks! :)

Current PT student here, in my second year. You are definitely able to switch after your first year, but it will require taking classes during the summer (you can also do one of the study abroad programs, which includes an internship). I'm not sure what the exact requirements are because I didn't switch, but a good chunk of my class did.

Classes are the same. Most professors come from the full-time faculty. Or at least they should; we had a lot of adjuncts/visiting profs last year. You take all the same required classes, and are subject to the same curve. Things are just spread out more to make it possible for us working folk to participate!

It's a fair question - particularly as it's still too early for any acceptances.
You should see some of what happened last year

I've got class until 3:30, but I'm happy to talk to you during that half hour, or you can call me afterwards

Part time first year here.

I guess I should do the right thing and "pay it forward" by answering questions, thanks for making the thread Dingbat.

For anyone who submitted:
Did your application go complete?

I submitted the app 9/25 and the date is changed to 10/9, the status checker still says "Application Received."

Just a quick question- Fordham asks you to list all the schools to which you are applying. Is this a YP thing? I like Fordham, but I am worried that if they see I am applying to some T14 schools they will hold it against me

I met Kathryn Espiritu at the NY LSAC forum yesterday and she remembered my application from last year. Hopefully that's a good sign...
