LSAT: Minimum 171
WE: Minimum 2 years

And I'm fairly certain when I called the admissions office forever ago they mentioned they only accepted ~10 people out of all ED applicants (admittedly I'm unsure what percent that is). I'm at a whopping 1/3 of those qualifications, so while I'm still pumped up for decisions to be released I'm not especially expecting to get in ED. Hopefully a deferral to RD though. I just want to knoooooow!!! Guh!

Who else on here is applying ED? Did the above news make anyone happy/more optimistic about their chances? I hope it made SOMEONE full of smiles because, for me, I was like... mierda.

I applied ED as well...I meet 2 of those 3. But my 169 is making me believe deferral to RD is what will likely happen...just hoping no outright rejection.

You have solid numbers. Even if you don't get admitted as an ED candidate, I highly doubt that NU would just ding a candidate with your numbers. You're right that it's unlikely that you'll get ED (but who knows right?). But even if you don't, you have a great chance at being admitted after a deferral. And maybe you'll get some scholarship through that even if it's not 150K.

Either way, I don't expect you to get outright dinged. In the event of a deferral, your ED application will let them know that you're passionate about attending, which can only be a boost. This would help even if you got waitlisted. Soo no need to stress too much =)

Thank you :) An auto-ding would make me feel sad. I'm sorta expecting a deferral/hold followed by (please?) an acceptance. If I get money... fricking sweet. If I don't, I'd still strongly consider going there. I just want to KNOW what's going to happen so I can figure out my life!!! And I think I want to hug every single RD candidate who's stuck waiting on us ED candidates until God-knows-when.

Such is life.

And applying to law school.

Thanks for the reassurance though. I read that at approximately 4 am and was just like 3asjdiovayw461298fsahhsj, which is not conducive to sleep.

Completely understand. My Netflix account and 30 Rock are the only reasons why I can avoid looking up law school stats/forums after work. And yes..woe are us RD candidates =(

10 seems unreasonably small. There were 7 listed as getting the full scholarship last year on LSN, and while LSN does get a lot of top their candidates, even close to 70% of all ED acceptances seems a little unbelievable. I could believe 15 or so.

The lowest accepted GPA does seem to be a 3.5, but many are in the 3.6 range, so a 3.7 *average* may be believable, but still a little high.

What I think is more heartening are the WL, Accepted kids from that list, even if some had to wait until April/May. I expect to be deferred to the regular decision pool as well, but I hope to find out earlier than later.

Exactly, a lotttt of ED deferrals got accepted RD, which is what I'm hoping for. I'm just going off of TLS which isn't, of course, 100% accurate but when I called the admissions office they said it varies but 10-ish was about right, I *think* she said 12 last year. More important seems to be the LSAT/WE and with me rocking a 168 and still in undergrad I'd put my chances at an ED acceptance at borderline nill.

In the same boat with my 169...hoping the 2 and a half years of work experience and GPA above their 75th helps me get in ED. I live in Chicago and would LOVE NU.

Best of luck, maybe they'll be more lenient with the LSAT's if you have awesome WE? I hope you two make it :). Like I said, I'm not 1,000% positive those are NECESSARY, but they seem to represent, more or less, what happened last year. Who knows what will happen this cycle but the anticipation is KILLING me.

Oh, I've looked at the exact same data in LSN at least 10 times since I sent my app, so I know exactly what you're talking about! :)

I hear you on the anticipation; I even looked at the last 2 years of ED decisions on LSN to see when decisions come out (last year was the 7th, year before the 15th) and noticed they were both Wednesdays...so now I'm super anxious for tomorrow. Hoping we all get in!

They're all over the map with ED release dates! LSN shows ED acceptances didn't happen until Dec 22 in 2009!

That was before the ED=150k program was started, and probably not relevant. I think the ED scholarship has only been in place for two years.

Yep. I spoke to someone class of 2014 (maybe '13) and she was pissed she didn't wait another year to apply. It's mostly the last year or two that you need to look at. Before that they were more random and more accepting of ED app's

Class of 2014 was the first class it was available. She must've been 2013.

I could have sworn last year (class of 2015) was the first year they did the ED scholly

It was. Last year was the first time they introduced the scholarship into the ED program.

Posting again just in case anybody has an answer to this:

Hey guys, I requested an interview on 12/01 but I haven't received an email since. I'm just curious because Vanderbilt contacted me the very next day--did yall have to wait a bit too?

I waited a bit over a month before hearing back about my interview request.

It took me over five weeks to get my interview assignment and I requested it in October.

I've mentioned this before, but it would be great if they had interviewers contact the interviewees instead of having us try to contact someone who may or may not respond to us. (This is how Vandy, Georgetown, Chicago, and Harvard all do it, and it works much more smoothly.)

That is rough! My interviewer responded immediately and we work 8 blocks apart.

It took about four weeks for my assignment to be sent-I requested at the beginning of September. My interviewer was great and responded right away and we met about a week later. I would imagine there were a lot of people looking to submit requests for an interview on/before the 12/1 deadline so it could take a while

Just arrived in Chicago on the lakeshore limited. It's a bad idea to go into the admissions office on three hours of sleep and outright supplicate myself right? Right?
