I applied in Jan too... Guess that means I can start freaking out now about upcoming movement

I went complete 11/5. And one update at 11/28. No change since.

I just checked LSAC and it looks like my last LOR was submitted today. That's probably all it was, although the status checker doesn't seem to reflect the new submission. But I hope that helps stop your head-banging.

Ye of the holds! Are y'all emailing in your LOCI or going with snail mail? First person to say they know how to use a fax machine gets laughed at.

A woman should never learn to sew, and if she can, she shouldn't admit to it.

My office doesn't even have phones. They've been banned as obsolete.

don't worry about the interview! my interviewer was very nice and relaxed. look over the interview questions in that thread and then be prepared to ask a lot of questions about northwestern and law school in general and just to chat. half of my interview was formal and the other half was just informal conversation. i honestly think they're just trying to figure out how articulate you are and if you have good interpersonal skills.

I agree. I also think they are looking to see who is truly interested. People (like me  ) who flew to Chicago from the other side of the country just for the chance to interview with NU and spent time and money to do that, all without it being a key part of the application, means something by itself.

Yep I agree! I flew all the way from San Francisco to interview, so I'm hoping that makes some difference.

Add to the stack from a few days back:

Submit mid-Oct, Complete mid-Oct, Interview in November, waitlisted 1/22, withdrew 1/24. Non-KJD, non-URM, out of UG 2+ years, LSAT above median, GPA below median.

I don't normally post on TLS, but I wanted to give some of you a little hope. I got accepted on Tuesday evening (1/22) via email. No interview, no Northwestern-specific essay. I applied the first week in January and went complete on 1/8. There is hope!

Haha, thanks for the congrats! I was actually really shocked because I thought that the interview was a major part of the admissions decision, too. I do have about 6 months of work experience, but my job isn't full-time. My numbers weren't all that great: GPA slightly above 75% and LSAT between 25% and median.

But good luck on that interview, maybe it will help with financial aid!

Anyone get started on their financial aid application yet? There are two more short essays to complete:

Please describe in detail how Northwestern Law will uniquely help you reach your short-term and long-term career goals. (300-500 words)

Northwestern Law administers an extensive program of scholarships and grants, all of which are awarded on a combined basis of merit and financial need. Please assess your position for merit aid and discuss your financial need for aid. (300-500 words)

Hi! Just wanted to drop in and say good luck to all the applicants here and congrats to those of you who got in! I'm a 1L at Northwestern and I'm excited to meet you guys at ASW - which all of you should go to because it's a lot of fun.

By the way - you guys should definitely write something solid on those financial aid essays. I think the admissions office does look past your numbers a bit if the quality of your essays is good.
