Re: Northwestern Law C/O 2016 (2012-2013 Applicants)
Does anybody know how many applicants that are WL'd ultimately get in to Northwestern during that year? Specific to the AJD program?

My guess is ~ 8-10. Last year the admitted 38 and 28 matriculated. I would guess they initially admitted 30 (with a goal of 30 matriculates), 8 declined, they offered 8-10 WL to fill the class. I called yesterday and part of the selection is based on who they think will attend. They also told me they will take people as late as the first day of classes (5/21).Looper12 wrote:Does anybody know how many applicants that are WL'd ultimately get in to Northwestern during that year? I don't but I'm hoping there are only 8-10 luckily NU is my legitimate #1 choice and I won't have to move if I attend so I can write a pretty genuine LOCILooper12 wrote:Do you know how many people are on the list?teiswei wrote:My guess is ~ 8-10. I'm in the same boat, but I included a diversity statement in my application, so that might explain their thinking. Did you include a DS in your app?megagnarley wrote:Has anyone gotten the email for the Accelerated JD and Diverse Student Open House?
I have no idea why I got this seeing as I'm a 3 yr JD and not an URM. Suffice it to say I probably shouldn't show up.

Johann tweets there should be more decisions this week, specifically AJDs, if anyone's still waiting for that. So, don't put away your lucky charms for the week just yet, folks.

I liked the weekly batches, now I can't stop thinking about acceptances knowing they could come at any timebananasplit19 wrote:Johann tweets there should be more decisions this week, specifically AJDs, if anyone's still waiting for that. It seemed like he was only mentioning AJDs in his tweet. Us RDers might have to wait another week...

I'm still 12/19, but I think the status checker refreshes at the top of the hour so maybe it's still coming.hhockberger wrote:Johann says more ED > RD decisions just went out. Good luck everyone!

I also got the email but I didn't write a diversity statement. I think it was likely just a mistake.

Resulting in a 73% yield (22/30)? Seriously? (That is HYS yield territory.)My guess is ~ 8-10. Last year the admitted 38 and 28 matriculated. I would guess they initially admitted 30 (with a goal of 30 matriculates), 8 declined..

That's because we're talking about the waitlist. If you get in to HYSCCNMVPB and WL'd at NW, most people will withdraw from NW. Those left on the WL to admit are usually still gunning for NW.Big Dog wrote:Resulting in a 73% yield (22/30)? Seriously? (That is HYS yield territory.)My guess is ~ 8-10.
