Re: Northwestern Law C/O 2016 (2012-2013 Applicants)
Looks like another day without a decision for me. Maybe I shouldn't have applied ED. NU would be the end of my cycle since my fiance goes to school here, I just want to know!
Here's hoping for later in the week/next week! The ED>Held/RD response forms were all due last week, so maybe they were waiting on that to revisit them. Sounds like if I had applied RD straight up I might have been admitted by now, though impossible to extrapolate from a few data points. Would have been better if I just hadn't been a lazy splitter in college....
Any ED>Helds get love today?

+1. it's so hard not to second guess my decision to apply ED at this point. just trying not to think about it.onionz wrote:Looks like another day without a decision for me. Maybe I shouldn't have applied ED. NU would be the end of my cycle since my fiance goes to school here, I just want to know!

You never know; the choice to ED might provide a little boost when they revisit our apps. #wishfulthinkingferalinfant wrote:+1. it's so hard not to second guess my decision to apply ED at this point. just trying not to think about it.onionz wrote:Looks like another day without a decision for me. feel bad for the AJDs but hopefully that means there will be a lot of RD decisions this week.

Thanks. Just saw it. Sad story but I think it (kind of) assures my initial thoughts abut the AJD application process

Re: Northwestern Law C/O 2016 (2012-2013 Applicants)
I wrote about this many pages back, but unfortunately since ED came with the $$$ stipulation, it somewhat clouds the signaling tool that says "This is my first choice." I'm hoping my personal connections make that abundantly clear, but unsure about the ED itself- not to be a debbie downer- it has to be worth *something*. I think it's a great program on their part to cherry pick talent, but unfortunately I wish they had kept the old one.letitloose wrote:You never know; the choice to ED might provide a little boost when they revisit our apps. #wishfulthinkingferalinfant wrote:+1. it's so hard not to second guess my decision to apply ED at this point. just trying not to think about it.onionz wrote:Looks like another day without a decision for me. I also don't understand why law schools don't give more options like that. Why can't schools have two EDs? One at a scholarship, one for free? I guess it's the economics major in me that doesn't like the lack of options in the market, it would probably complicate the admissions procedure a ton.

Do all of the notifications usually come at once? Or is there still a chance that people whose status checkers didn't change might see movement later today?

They're usually all at once- but that doesn't mean NU won't purposely release batches of them today at different times for various reasons. They've done that a few times.Bucketseat wrote:Do all of the notifications usually come at once? There were separate batches of releases during one of the first set of decisions a few weeks ago (it was a Friday, I remember). But, I think the first batch was the ED deferrals, and the second was RD admits.Bucketseat wrote:Do all of the notifications usually come at once? I was just being dramatic. Thank you though. Change in Status Check App temporarily clouds my brain

Is the 'decision letter delivery system' not working for anyone else?? It says it doesn't match with their records, but it works for the status check.
Also, why can't all school just be like Michigan and let you know the decision on the status check?!?!

this is all part of the process. eventually it will work. usually within an hour or 2 but theres been reports of longer. its a special kind of torture unique to NUrock90123 wrote:Is the 'decision letter delivery system' not working for anyone else??
