Any chance I get a scholarship with a 3.5/168/several years of WE? Would they have mentioned this over the phone?

your numbers are almost exactly the same as mine so this gives me hope! When did you apply?

What would one expect UCLA to offer me scholarship wise if I told them I had 75k from MVP?

"Lol then why do you want to go here???"

But seriously I'm guessing 75k at Michigan is worth maybe 90k to them.

Just accepted yesterday but with no mention of merit scholarship. UCLA is very tempting with $$. How long should I wait to ask?

You're in already. Don't see a reason why you should wait to ask.

Someone should attempt to negotiate merit aid before acceptance. We can call it a LRM

I waited maybe two days. UCLA is very generous this year, so you should just go ahead and ask.

I got my Merit scholly info with my acceptance phone call - so Im guessing it doesnt look good for those who didn't hear anything when they received the call.

Not necessarily true. Plenty of people had to ask for scholly and were awarded handsomely.

Have the early-mid January UCLA applicants heard back? Not yet, right?

I'd check LSN but it is being down for that update.

JB and md22 - thanks, guys!

I sent mine on 1/11, which means I should convince myself that it'll be another 2 weeks.

P.S. that's the best kind of stalker, JB, no worries. It's not like you're stalking their FB photo albums (are you? ;) )

I can confirm this. Had 75K from MVP, UCLA matched with 90K. But they seem to be more generous this year so you could be looking at quite a bit more. They're really quick about getting back to you with an offer so you won't have to wait long.

thanks for the reply!

1) Congrats!
2) you have a great LSAT which is partially why UCLA must love you looooong time.

Complete 1/18 and I got accepted 2/7.

re: scholarships...I was not offered one in the acceptance phone call. I have a couple of offers from lower ranked schools (90k from GW and 120k from W&L). Should I go ahead and try to use those to negotiate a scholarship, or should I wait to hear back from some schools ranked closer to UCLA, like Vandy (already accepted but haven't released scholly info yet).

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
