Would it be strange to e-mail and mention that you have a deposit deadline coming up at a different school? Just to see if they're willing to give you a decision before you have to make a commitment anywhere?

I was wondering the same thing. Mid-April is fast approaching and I have some tough decisions to make. Stanford's slow process really isn't helping!

Only if you wanna be dinged earlier. It's not as if SLS doesn't know what's up.

Also, just found out my best friend from college attends S, dude's a genius.

Rejected. 3.6. 176. No surprise, no disappointment. First school I've ever been rejected from though. Was 21-0 up until this point (Including undergrad and counting wait lists as acceptances). Stanford you were an admirable foe.

2)No one does this because WL=Ding most of the time.
3) Your humble brag stole any motivation I had to give you the standard "Sorry dude"

Hahaha humble brag hard core. I meant 21 schools without a rejection. And I didn't go to a great undergrad so it's not much of a humblebrag.

Yeah, I decided it was a little too harsh. The guy just got rejected from a really good school, and I realized how bad I would feel if/when I get rejected from a top school - so I decided to give him a break

sorry about that. Did you check your status regularly? Seems like SLS has been MIA lately.

On another note, what a late deposit date! That's not a good sign for those of us waiting.

I went complete in mid october. Under review 12/3. I was pretty confident I was getting waitlisted after such a long wait but with my GPA I'm not too surprised. Oh well. Maybe HLS will be kinder haha.

Umm, what? May 1 is the norm for deposit dates. I actually wish it could be later... there's only a little over a month left to make the big decision, uh oh!

I thought the norm was mid-April. Well, it still sucks for those of us waiting. Presumably spots will open up once people start making deposits.
