Re: Stanford C/O 2016 Applicants Thread
I'm sure this has been asked a ton, but I finally got my status checker working and it says "your file has been submitted for review". Is there any either update besides DLS? Like a date change or Under Review?

Re: Stanford C/O 2016 Applicants Thread
I had this problem earlier, i.e. the status checker wouldn't recognize my ID and/or password. What worked for me was rather than going directly to this page, I went to this page and navigated to the status check page through the overview sidebar. I don't know if that helps at all...astrodoggy wrote:I haven't been able to log into mine for weeks. It doesn't recognize the userID SLS gave me. lst status check won't work on my computer. Finding it and then trying it out were both the happiest and saddest days of the cycle so far.ManOfTheMinute wrote:There are two solutions to thisastrodoggy wrote:I haven't been able to log into mine for weeks. (a) Use the link from the email they sent it
(b) Use http://www.lsstatuscheck.com to auto-notify you

Also got the acceptance call yesterday! I had taken the day off of work to go hiking. It was pretty awesome to get Dean Deal's call from the top of a mountain.

Is email change a necessary condition for acceptance? Or have others been accepted without the change?cata2west wrote:FWIW, like someone else said earlier, I also noticed my email change from all caps to all lowercase. This happened on Friday, and I have never wanted a weekend to go by so fast. But, it was also the reason why I left my ringer on today, and I'm so glad I did.

It says on their website that your email address changing to lowercase is part of the admissions process. But it's like a JS1 in that it is a necessary but not sufficient condition for acceptance. 600 people will have their font size change. But only 400 of those will ultimately be admitted.abcde12345 wrote:Is email change a necessary condition for acceptance? Agreed. I really don't see the reason in keeping people's hopes up for months and months on end. If I'm an auto reject at a school I would much, much prefer getting rejected a day after I submitted my app rather than 3 months later.twinkletoes16 wrote:i'm still in all caps. send me my DLS ding already, hail mary

Yep. I feel like it should be fairly easy to pick who you want and admit them quickly, and then see who stands no chance and reject them quickly. I get if you're a middle-of-the-pack-maybe-waitlister you could be stuck waiting for a loooong time, but...come on.

Also, reading up more, if you have been admitted, you should be able to click the "Stanford Law School" image in the upper left hand corner of your status checker and it will automatically bring you to your acceptance/financial aid award letter.

Just did this. Can verify that it increases chance of admission by 27%. My app's life meter is back up to half!twinkletoes16 wrote:Up up down down left right left right B A START?helix23 wrote:Also, reading up more, if you have been admitted, you should be able to click the "Stanford Law School" image in the upper left hand corner of your status checker and it will automatically bring you to your acceptance/financial aid award letter.
