173/3.7 undergrad/3.95 master's. I've been accepted to UVA with $, UCLA, & Georgetown; held at Harvard & Penn; FR at Berkeley. To be honest, I'm surprised by the holds (and scholarship, tbh) because I'm a re-applicant due to medical issues and was rejected by those 4 schools in my last cycle.

Best of luck to you -- you're having an awesome one so far!

maybe a combo of a down cycle and you being a reapplicant? i don't see how being a reapplicant can hurt! pullin' for S for ya!

I so read that as "maybe a combo of a down cycle and you being a republican" and I was like "maybe that makes sense, I guess academia trends liberal?" Then I thought, wait a minute, he never said he was a republican!

MOTM as far as i can tell is only jan submit to be admitted yet. And he's kind of a big deal. So i wouldn't worry.

So, is it safe to assume those who applied earlier than December should expect a waitlist or deny?
Just wondering since they seem to have accepted so few this cycle...

End October applicant.

I think that by virtue of applying we should all expect a waitlist or deny. It's Stanford. Unless you get accepted, of course.

I suggest opening up a brewdog or two and relaxing. Nothing else you can do.
