Hi all,
Not sure how effective this ultimately will be, but it certainly won't do any harm.
I am currently on the wait list for Cardozo's May program. This is my absolute first choice and I would really love to be there. If anyone has any second thoughts about attending and has offers they are considering from other programs, your consideration would be immensely appreciated by those of us really hoping for a seat.
Best of luck to everyone.

In an email they said that they are waiting until the last minute and any moment things may change, meaning that they would take ppl from the waitlist.cnk wrote:i don't think they are admitting anyone else off the WL...orientation is next week.NewYorkL wrote:Isn't this starting soon?

Yeah good luck to those who are waiting. I'm sure a few applicants will get cold feet starting this early.

Anyone currently on the may start waiting list, lets post our numbers. Or we can pm them. So we can get a better idea as to whether there's still hope. And btw, I'm sure you've heard, but they're admitting off the waitlist up until the third day of orientation.

And regarding what emysynthesis is asking of the admitted students who have not yet informed cardozo of their decision not to attend (because they've already decided not to), this is what's causing the delay, if any. Cardozo wants to know if any of the better qualified admitted students will decide to attend. The sooner admits respond, the sooner we will know.

I negotiated with Dozo with my BLS offer and they came up earlier this cycle. I deposited at Dozo and nowhere else. BLS just increased their offer substantially (after previously denying me when I solicited an increased offer). This most recent increase was unsolicited. Has anybody had success re-negotiating with Dozo? I will probably need to consider BLS to be a stronger favorite at this point.

from earlier posts in this thread people have mentioned that they were able to negotiate with BK schollys but had difficulty re-negotiating for a second time especially after a deposit was made, if you look a few pages back in this thread i think the post is there.ArizonaSecrets wrote:I negotiated with Dozo with my BLS offer and they came up earlier this cycle. They increased my scholly before the first deposit, however since then they've been saying that they don't have any more scholly money.cnk wrote:from earlier posts in this thread people have mentioned that they were able to negotiate with BK schollys but had difficulty re-negotiating for a second time especially after a deposit was made, if you look a few pages back in this thread i think the post is there.ArizonaSecrets wrote:I negotiated with Dozo with my BLS offer and they came up earlier this cycle. I got an email from Dean Martinidez to that effect today. I really enjoyed his response, actually. It seems like he is almost tired of responding to this request but didn't come off as angry towards me, moreso towards BLS. Here's a few gems:pwnyc127 wrote:They increased my scholly before the first deposit, however since then they've been saying that they don't have any more scholly money.cnk wrote:from earlier posts in this thread people have mentioned that they were able to negotiate with BK schollys but had difficulty re-negotiating for a second time especially after a deposit was made, if you look a few pages back in this thread i think the post is there.ArizonaSecrets wrote:I negotiated with Dozo with my BLS offer and they came up earlier this cycle. You are not the first person in our entering class to inform me about this new offer from the other school. For what it is worth, my sense of things is that the other school is struggling to fill its class, and that is undoubtedly why you and others have received this new offer.
A friend of mine told me to deposit at both places and see what happens because there isn't a penalty in doing so (but for the financial cost of depositing two places in the grand scheme of things it might not be the worst chance to take), but it seems a little wrong. There is a possibility that some additional funding may become available later this spring, perhaps after the second deposit deadline of June 3. I have no way of knowing for certain whether this will be the case, but should additional funding become available, I will certainly keep you in mind.

there's no penalty for multiple deposits, but I was just told by an admissions counselor in regards to double depositing that all law schools can see where else you have deposited.ArizonaSecrets wrote:I got an email from Dean Martinidez to that effect today. Really? That is something I have a hard time believing. I just feel like it would've had to be run through LSAC for something like that to be well updated. Also, I'm sure BLS knew I probably deposited elsewhere and that's why I got more money.cnk wrote: there's no penalty for multiple deposits, but I was just told by an admissions counselor in regards to double depositing that all law schools can see where else you have deposited.
