Has anyone had their interview yet? If so, how was it?

Yeah, I feel the same way.TEXAS91 wrote:I sure hope you're right! I'd seriously give up a kidney to get into UT right now...The-Specs wrote:Interesting bit of information. According to LSN the applicants in last years cycle all heard from UT with a decision by Feb 28 with the exception of 3 applicants that applied on Feb 1st and they heard back by Mar 17. If that holds for this year at least it will all be over soon...

My friend from my same undergrad applied ED and didn't hear until the end of March (and he was a URM with stellar numbers). He didn't do LSN or TLS. Keep in mind that LSN is not representative of all applicants, albeit one of the best sources for neurotic applicants still waiting for a decision.The-Specs wrote:Interesting bit of information. Got to sit in a class while I was there, too. Never been more excited to attend law school. The camaraderie among the students is unbelievable and the class was fantastic.

The phone call was around mid-afternoon. I am living overseas though (so it was around 5:00am local time).
When I woke up, I saw the 512 area code on my Skype.

St. Edwards is a school in Austin, though. It's just a university, no law school.romanticegotist wrote:Wow my bad! In my job I've dealt with an even number of both (as consultants/lobbysists, etc) and I'm not from Texas so I don't know what the dynamic is like.
Although that brings me to a related point: If possible, go back in time and get a job with the Bush administration/campaign; it makes getting cushy jobs in Austin way easier.

Yeah I know that...I have no idea where I got it in my head that they had a law school. I think I just assumed it was an analog to St. Thomas and Creighton (other places I've lived). Good to know there's no in-city competition.Pebbles wrote:St. Edwards is a school in Austin, though. It's just a university, no law school.romanticegotist wrote:Wow my bad! Does the phone call or the status checker come first?

I think we've established that it's always a phone call and never a status check confirmation.TEXAS91 wrote:Does the phone call or the status checker come first?

Makes you wonder if they have any contractual obligation to actually give you a place in the class.WokeUpInACar wrote:Yup.. Maybe your numbers were through the roof and you were essentially an auto-admit.BigZuck wrote:Status checker first for me.
