Thanks Woke, do you you know if the 12/15,000 is still offered to those who are already in state?

That's what I meant actually. I am a Texas resident and was offered the 12k with a 170/3.23.

Plus it seems like for the most part if you get offered a scholarship and you are out of state then you are also given instate tuition on top of that.

For any people waitlisted and/or wondering about class size, it looks like they just culled the FB group to include only the people who deposited yesterday and there are now 272 people in the group. Obviously *some* people won't have FB or join the group, but that might be mitigated a bit by those who double deposit or eventually leave after getting off t14 waitlists. I'm pretty confident that they will try to pull at least 40-50 people from the WL given their preferences wrt class size.

What do those 272 people look like? Have you sized them all up yet? Do they look smart? Dumb? Hard working? Lazy?

I want to get the gunning started early. TYIA!

Anyone know if the public education grant and university grant are typically renewed (assuming I fill out the exact same Fafsa for next year) or they are usually just a one year deal???

In my experience, yes, but it may depend on whether the leg decides to mess with it.

There's a letter of intent that's signed in June

Today I got my hopes up when I got a letter in the mail from UT, but it basically turned out to be nothing more than a "Austin and UT are great, so come here" statement from Dean Farnsworth. Anyone else get this letter? Is this an alternative to a scholarship offer? Or should I not abandon all hope just yet? (Won't have hit two weeks from call until later this week).
Got this letter too, in addition to a scholarship offer. Sit tight, give it a couple weeks to see if an offer comes.
Phew... Thanks for the peace of mind. I'll still be sitting on pins and needles for a few more days, haha.
Also, I missed my call so only heard the voicemail but she made no mention of money on the message and I was given in state tuition plus 15k a year. Try not to worry about it and hope is definitely not lost!
I'm curious about people getting in-state tuition at UT. I lived in Austin for 6 of the last 7 years (while earning at Ph.D. at UT), but will spend all of 2017 living out of state. Here's my question: since UT is my first choice, I'm planning to apply ED so I can get in-state tuition and, hopefully, some need-based aid (knowing full well that I forfeit merit-based aid by going ED). Should I, perhaps, hold off on the ED since it seems out-of-state applicants are often getting in-state tuition anyway - and in my case, since I just lived there for 6 years, it's perhaps appropriate?

I know the answer, in part, will be: what's the LSAT score? I haven' taken it yet -- my first go in is June -- and I'm getting PT scores right now around UT's median of 167. Twice I've broken 170. If I score 170+ I won't ED, but let's say I get a 167 and my GPA is low: ED or no?
