I'M A LADY BUT I APPRECIATE YOUR ENTHUSIASM.

Seriously though, how long was the received -> completion wait for y'all? I feel like it's never going to end.
ETA: I just went complete at Chicago today, which means I'm done everywhere else. Submitted 11/7.

Day 47. Some damn fool keeps shooting flares into the sky. I tell the other 10/10ers that I came here to do two things: kick some ass and drink some beer, and we're almost out of beer...

Nothing. Guessing I'll be held eventually and won't hear anything good or bad until the Spring. Oh well, it's not the end of the world...

I can answer that.

Although, the UVA phone call today helped mitigate for awhile.

Welcome to the Forest. Did you bring any flares?
Then again, helix may have a point. I hear they attract bears...

Praying for JS1s tomorrow. Also its not fair! are all posters expected to rhyme for now on when they post?
I don't think I can I'm too nervous.
Without a js1 I lack purpose.
But ill try to be vociferous
And stand up for lavitz (and his JS2) It's getting ridiculous.

I've come vastly unprepared.
My only solace resides in the continuing screams of those brave souls who've wandered on ahead reminding me that my time of reckoning has not yet arrived.
Shielded from personal responsibility by my irresponsibility, I have temporarily protected myself but will surely pay the price in the coming weeks.
For now, I prepare to tackle the beast that lies in the weeks ahead whilst comfortably laying in the safety of my self-induced panic room.

:? Not sure if you were just trying to find something that rhymed but it's not like anyone can do anything about it.

But I do really appreciate the thought, and I hope you get your JS1 soon. :)

I am glad I wasn't the only one,
To notice her rhyming phrase.
But I find poems boring,
I hope it's just a phase.
This thread has gotten odd,
In fact it's become quite weird.
But y'all have fun with your metaphors
While I crack another beer.

Ship it.

Not trying to troll - submitted on 11/16, status updated to "complete" today; no email yet - anyone have any clue as to why some only take ten days, and others much longer?

No idea. The only blog post that's even somewhat relevant is this one and that still doesn't really answer the question.

Lol. Good luck getting JS1 invites.

And for everyone interviewing tomorrow, just don't blow it like I did

Just gonna sneak in some darkly motivational Robert Frost since we are rhyming, and to make this thread even stranger :)

The woods are lovely, dark and deep
But I have promises to keep
and miles to go before I sleep
and miles to go before I sleep.

"There must be some kinda way outta here"
Said the Joker to the Thief.
"There's too much confusion.
I can't get no relief."

Alright, fine, I suppose I'll play
As long as blank verse is okay:

"[...] Farewell happy fields
Where joy forever dwells. Hail horrors, hail
Infernal world, and thou profoundest hell
Receive thy new possessor: one who brings
A mind not to be changed by place or time.
The mind is its own place and in itself
Can make a Heaven of hell, a hell of Heaven."

Lavitz: refresh us -- were there JS1 interviews on the schedule for today? Trying to handicap the possibility of additional JS1/JS2 activity. If I'm not mistaken, there generally have not been new invitations on the same day as interviews. Is that right?

I've been complete since ten ten,
Tell us, JS -- when? when?
ah well, let's continue on with the poetry then.

Yes, today is actually the only day on the calendar for which interviews are currently scheduled. But on 11/8, JS1 invites did indeed go out even though there were interviews that day.

Once again, your grasp of this process far exceeds that achievable through my idle curiosity. Thanks my friend. I hope your JS2 comes very soon. I also hope today is a repeat of 11/8 ... roll on, JS1s, and feel free to reach below LSAT median this time.

Had my JS1 this morning. I think it went ok. I'm a little concerned it was only 13 minutes. JS asked me specific questions about what I wrote in my PS. She also asked what I expect will be my biggest challenge in law school, and she asked about my large LSAT jump. I asked her 3 questions at the end.

So now it's time to sit back and wait. I'm hoping the turnaround time will be quick since there is only one day of interviews this week. Good luck to everyone else!

I have to say with no JS2
I found that I was feeling blue
Just when I thought that hope might fail
I completed my app and sent it to Yale

I feel better...

Arguably, shorter could be interpreted as better than longer. Makes it seem like more of a formality before acceptance as opposed to an extended conversation to really decide whether or not to admit you. Yadda?

In before "that's what she said" jokes abound, or those of that nature
