Is it awkward that there is a chance I'll be in an ASW event (at another school) during that time window and might have to excuse myself to take a call?

Nope, when you get the call take it in the middle of whatever event you're at. Then hang up, make fun of everyone else still thinking about going to that TTT, and peace out.Lar-ties wrote:Is it awkward that there is a chance I'll be in an ASW event (at another school) during that time window and might have to excuse myself to take a call?

Don't worry. This happened to me twice. Stanford called when I was visiting penn. Harvard called when I was visiting Chicago.Lar-ties wrote:Is it awkward that there is a chance I'll be in an ASW event (at another school) during that time window and might have to excuse myself to take a call?

Were you just waiting for the perfect time to write post that on here? If so, I'm happy with the assist.
If it was me, I'm pretty sure I would have set that as my FB status/twitter "about me"/maybe tattooed it on my forehead. A very belated congrats.

So has anyone actually confirmed that admissions is closed next week, or is this an assumption based on the JS1 calendar?

I work at a university and I would jump for fucking joy if I got a spring break, which I don't. I highly doubt offices are closed next week though its possible more people take off that week so we'll see less activity.Wormfather wrote:At many schools, office staff, including admission/finaid are on a different calandar than the students/facultyaz21833 wrote:id assume its based on the harvard university calendarohpobrecito wrote:So has anyone actually confirmed that admissions is closed next week, or is this an assumption based on the JS1 calendar?

Responded to my hold with what I thought was a very spirited LOCI. Just looking for some love, bro.

Sent it to the same address from which I received the hold email. Word doc. Don't want to get too crazy now.az21833 wrote:how did u send yours in? Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Hey guys, I haven't been active in this thread for a while, but I need some advice.
175/4.0/military, no word since going complete in early January. I have a few major application updates: I was named XXX of the year at my full-time job for 2012, named outstanding student of my UG graduating class, and am starting a new job teaching over the spring/summer (not TFA).
I have not been placed on hold. Should I send them an email with the updates or hold off for a LOCI if I get held?

I created a brand new skype account (my full name) so HLS was my only contact. Now I'm back to using WomenScotchandWoodworking6969 as my skype name.applemaroon wrote:So.....extremely paranoid question: during your JS1, how did you guys prevent other Skype friends from chatting with you? Delete everyone on your contact list? If that little Skype noise goes off, I am going to be so embarassed lol.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
