Yeah it's this weekend I think. Yesterday at one of NYU's DC events I sat between two people that were deciding between NYU and Harvard (or rather, taking advantage of a free meal from NYU). I silently wept to myself as they talked about the upcoming weekend.pedestrian wrote:I rescheduled for next week. There were no available spots for this week, so either it was booked up or they aren't doing JS1s some days.
Isn't there an admitted students extravaganza soon? Maybe they are busy with that.
Perfect timing for them to realize that they can let in a poor reverse splitter like meTrustInMusic wrote:the delay might be them revisiting held apps that are pre-JS1az21833 wrote:any hope in that the delay is them revisting some held apps for the next js2 round? nope.
all applications should be complete and reviewed at this time, so they probably have a good sense of the pool of applicants this year

Might be time for a phone call.Lagunitan wrote:Have any late appliers still not gone complete? I submitted 2/1 and status checker says HLS still hasn't received my materials.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA. Maybe if I send that to S, they'll change it to all lowercaseManOfTheMinute wrote:Has any admitted students thought about emailing a school where we still haven't gotten in (other than Y or S), and asking them to change your email on file to the ___@jd16.law.harvard.edu? I'm 172/3.53 held.. at least you're above me.CyanIdes Of March wrote:I know how you feel. I'm basically you, +/-.01 GPA depending on this last semester. Very average softs, some clubs, part time work experience through college, but otherwise pretty normal person. And even our LSAT isn't going to do much for them, we only meet the new (lower) median, and we're below their GPA median. I think for people like us to get in, we have to really sell ourselves and hope they like us.nefftron wrote:Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but given how the cycle seems to have gone how much of a shot does a person with my numbers have anyway? 173, 1.79, otherwise a pretty unexceptional person (extracurriculars with leadership but no awards or cool WE, etc.). I have a weird need to know if I'm a very likely ding or could eke my way in as one of the bodies who props up the LSAT median.
ManOfTheMinute had pretty similar numbers to us and he got in recently which gave me a bit of hope, proves our numbers are by no means auto-dings.
omg someone give me their harvard e-mail please.ManOfTheMinute wrote:Has any admitted students thought about emailing a school where we still haven't gotten in (other than Y or S), and asking them to change your email on file to the ___@jd16.law.harvard.edu? Hmmmmmm
You should!!!! Do @jd16.law.harvard.edu for your primary, and @law.yale.edu for your secondary. SLS will indubitably accept you!!carboncopyx wrote:HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA. If someone gets a JS2 on Friday, do you think they'll be able to go to ASW this week?Wormfather wrote:JS2s friday. Now that the Feb scores are in, the applicant pool picture is complete. They should be able to start making decisions more rapidly now.
