She was really nice although I did make a stupid comment at the beginning :( . I asked 3 questions and it was about 16 minutes.

I had KB so sounds like there might be a common pool of questions?

Maybe now that the application deadline has passed (or maybe is passing... unclear if Feb 1 deadline means you can still submit on Feb 1), review and notification will go a lot faster without new applications rolling in!

Is there anything extra I need to do to send updated transcripts to HLS once LSAC receives them?

No, I did the same thing and LSAC sends them out automatically once they get them

No, LSAC automatically generates an updated report. This should go for all schools, not just HLS.

Hang in there! Any 30 Rock fans here (*sob* I will never forget you, Rural Juror)? The exchange below sums up my feelings toward Harvard about being held.

Josh: Cerie, Marry Boff Kill -- Lutz, Toofer, or Kenneth?
Cerie: I'd marry Toofer, cause he's classy. I'd kill Lutz, sorry Lutz.
Lutz: The thought that you would do anything to me is awesome.
Cerie: And I'd boff Kenneth.

Don't be concerned. 2 day turnaround happened for a few of us, and some people had a 1 day turnaround for JS1 -> JS2. That doesn't mean it's remotely close to normal.
I wouldn't be surprised if there are more JS1s next week. No real way to predict when, so just sit tight.

Condolences to held and dinged today. Boo Friday bloodbaths :(

Have any January applicants been held? Or would that not happen since we haven't been waiting long anyways and helds are reserved for fall applicants? It doesn't look like there have been any, but I wanted to check.

What is the consensus regarding sending another LOR after being held by Harvard? (This would be the 4th LOR for me; one is from my boss, the other two they currently have are academic, and this one would be academic as well).

My initial plan was to reserve this one for if I was waitlisted anywhere, but I'm wondering if getting held might be the right time to bring it out instead? Or is four overload?

overload. harvard specifically asks for 3 LORs max, and in the hold e-mails, JS said additional LORs aren't necessary.

Harvard only accepts a maximum of three, so I would say that it's probably overload.

I remembered see this from the Harvard Admissions Blog. If there's anything else you can update them on instead of submitting an LOR, that's probably preferable.

"However, if you have substantial updates to your application, this is a good time to submit them. For example, I strongly encourage college seniors to submit transcripts containing fall grades through LSAC. You can also send an update about an honor or award you’ve recently won, a new job, or anything else you think could materially impact your application. Additional letters of recommendation are not necessary."

Cool, thanks! I'm hoping it can get to everyone before they ding me haha (not that it will help much).

I can't take the uncertainty!!!

Complete since 12/13 and marginal even for an AA. Surviving multiple bloodbaths is great, but if I get no sponsors and die of exposure isn't that worse?
