It's first initial last name.jd16 (jsmith.jd16) to get into the admitted student website.bernaldiaz wrote:Does anyone know what username we use to get on to the accepted student weekend website? Is it just the part of our HLS email before the @jd16.law.harvard.edu part (so first initial, last name)?

How long did it take for the email to be set up following your JS2?

I don't remember exactly, but somewhere in the ballpark of 1-2 weeks.Spritzpiggy wrote:How long did it take for the email to be set up following your JS2?
ETA: If you gave them a secondary email in your application, notification of your email account being set up will be sent to that one, because your primary email gets replaced with the HLS email.

Yep. You have to use your username and password to log in to the admitted students website to get to registration, so you'll need those set up ahead of time.mm3456 wrote: Can we only register for asw after the email is set up?
Is anyone else bringing a guest to ASW? I was pretty pleasantly surprised that my boyfriend showed some interest in going on the housing tours and stuff, so I signed him up. It seems like parents get a somewhat different set of programs, but significant others get to tag along with us.

I'm in this batch too. 1/7 submit, 1/23 complete via status checker, got the complete e-mail on 1/24ManOfTheMinute wrote:Theres me too! 1/23 complete... hopefully they'll roll that into the 1/17-1/22 batch!TripTrip wrote:There's a couple more 1/22s and some 1/17s on LSN, and none of them have reported a JS1 in their profile. And yeah, if I were a betting man I'd bet next week.wert3813 wrote: Is it just the three of us in this 1/22 batch? And our target range is next week right?

I'm in this batch as well but I doubt I'll get a JS1 with my current LSAT score. Retaking in Feb though!

If I'm correct, all the JS1s (at least of those reported on TLS) that went out to the ~1/15 crowd were all URMs or 75th percentile GPAs...so is it just wishful thinking that there could still be hope for those of us in that group?

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
There have been a few anecdotes of legacy candidates getting admitted w/o an interview, but such reports have not been independently verified. We believe they're probably HLS tactics designed to flush out the gullible among us and generate humorous emails to the Admissions Office.feelingood wrote:Does HLS accept w/o an interview? Or is an interview pretty much a prerequisite to admission? i.e. I'm in the Princeton Law group (complete early december, radio silence)--any chance of a direct admit? Or are they deciding whether or not to put me on the waitlist vs. a hold or interview?
Unless your last name is Romney, expect an interview.

Ugh I think there is probably still hope you, people get JS1s all the time after the fact. But I think your reasoning is somewhat flawed. Doubt they thought, "let's grab all the URMs and ppl with 75th GPAs today."Audeamus wrote:If I'm correct, all the JS1s (at least of those reported on TLS) that went out to the ~1/15 crowd were all URMs or 75th percentile GPAs...so is it just wishful thinking that there could still be hope for those of us in that group?

I'm not sure about that. I think they could pretty easily filter out apps they know they want to JS1 then spend more time on the others that are not as cut and dry...then again, since I am in the 1/15 boat, my reasoning is inherently flawed by fleeting hopewert3813 wrote:Ugh I think there is probably still hope you, people get JS1s all the time after the fact. Well they offered to hold my application for my February score. I think they look at Feb scores so long as it's not your first LSAT score.wert3813 wrote:Umm pretty sure Harvard doesn't accept February scores? I got the email two days later. Not sure why, but that seems to happen. I wouldn't worry about it.oscar11cheelsea wrote:Went complete yesterday but still no email, normal?

Certainly possible. I think it's more likely that the sample size is to small and it just worked out that way to TLS and LSN.Audeamus wrote:I'm not sure about that. Come on now. You knew getting into Harvard was going to be a long battle. Don't lose that mindset.Audeamus wrote: you're killing me, wert.

haha my numbers are auto-ding levels so I've always known a JS1 would only happen if my softs deliver a miracle. I'm happy with the options I have so far, though, so if it does end up being a ding, I'll bounce back quickwert3813 wrote:Come on now. You knew getting into Harvard was going to be a long battle. Checking In.
Submit 1/2, complete 1/17, JS1 invite 1/22, KB1 today...
In that awkward waiting game (hopefully) between KB1 and JS2.
KB1 was shockingly fast - asked her standard questions plus one specific in 6 minutes, I asked questions for 8 minutes. Is this something to worry about?
172, 3.92 from top LAC + MA in humanities field, not URM
